So we dye sublimate any image on twill then cut it out and appliqué embroider it to fabric. Hope that helps.

Is the middle of the white patch embroidered or just the border?

Good question. The whole left chest is embroidered. The middle is a fill stitch and the edge has the dimension. Because the whole left chest is embroidered with polyester thread, we can easily dye sublimate directly on that thread.

Yes, we buy bulk white polyester twill and dye sublimate it.

Can this be done with heat transfers?

Heat transfer more than likely would cover the embroidery to where you could not make it out.
