Hey this is sooo helping for someone like me who lives in London England but plan to live in RD (Santo Domingo) either for the UK winter - so November to April or maybe perminantly. Wow, this is great. Mine husband and I have a vacation home in Cotui and we experience someone in the building Stealing Electricity. We notice of course the following month when the bill came in. We believe they where Stealing the electricity around the time we where there so it wouldn't be so noticeable. The bill is normally around 50 dollars when we are there, this time it was 269 dollars. Mine husband had someone go and check out the Electricity and they said it was exposed and connected to another line in the building. Mine husband had the line tag and rearrange with a case lock on it. After this situation we had no more problems and the bill is low.
Wow 😯 really !! I have heard about that before . That happened at my apartment . Crazy. Most of the electricity bills around here are 15 dollars or less
@@TheDominicanRoute yes, I believe it was more then one person stealing electric and of course we are only there for a a couple of times a year. This was their opportunity. I have wifi/internet service I believe we pay around 50 dollars or so and that's for the phoneand internet. But I only watch netflix, UA-cam channel and prime videos when I'm there no need for cable stations. I use propane for cooking but we eat out everyday so the only thing that heat up is coffee. My husband can't function without his morning coffee.

Yes they can be Loud at time s. When I move it will move in a more quiet area but I can’t complain . I just close My window. Thanks for your comment . You can move to the county or in A gated Community for a more quiet area.

I'm coming to DR soon and need to connect w/good Bruhs like you. Not coming to chase honeys. Just need a better quality of life, PEACE and beach days at least 3X per week! LOL

All around you the DR it is hidden treasures all around the touristy areas that’s when he gets very expensive so I suggest fine new construction areas it’s not super close to the tourist attractions then you will find what you are looking for . They are doing New construction everywhere in the Dominican Republic . You can find a nice 1 or 2 bed in a nice area for 300 dollars and under . Juan Bosh part of Santo Domingo . 80 percent of the country is Less than This . Most places here are $ 70 to $200 US dollars . But you really want to stay around $300 and up because the living really goes down and you want to stay in a safe and clean area like we do

What a crock.....you must live in the slums of Santo Domingo..l live in Punta Cana. 15 minute walk to the beach. 2 bedroom 2bath..$900 US a month...its just me.. electric...5 month out of the year..$100 a month, 7 months of the year about $40 US.
