Flat iron used to be cheap 10yrs ago until the demand went up and now the price is more than twice. There are much better restaurants than the featured ones. Better to compare within a similar price range and for high-grade beef, I believe it weighs more on the cooking skills.

Lawrys specialises in prime rib... still remember they use to charge $70-80 for lawrys cut... now is around $120...wait for promo

The best steak I’ve ever had is one I made at home and it’s works out much cheaper. I buy my steaks from Hubers and dry age them there. Then take it home and eat. But if I had to go out, I have a local favourite. It’s called Stirling steak. It’s not fancy, but it’s pretty delicious.

Why do I feel like they hate each other ?
Somebody should slap the person cooking the steak at wakanui. You should not press2 the steak with your tong. Your a cook, not a masseur! Just let it be, let it naturally cook with its juices inside. Its a sin to press the steak against pan / grill. The cuts look great though.
He probably needed to get the crosshatch patterns… meh presentation like that is secondary to me. Personally rather a uniform char from a pan than a pretty crosshatch from a grill.

You guys actually chose the cheapest cut as your favorite lol. Skirt stake is known as the poor man’s steak. To each his/her own. But I can’t believe pitted against a bone in ribeye, Japanese wagyu, and prime rib you actually chose skirt! 😖

I'm the one who chose the cheapest cut as one of my faves but both of Seth's favourites are expensive for people like me! But yes, to each his own. :)
@@ErikaMaguicay I thought the skirt steak was both of your #1 favorite. If you're prioritizing price and biggest bang for buck, then I understand where you're coming from. But skirt is cheap for a reason and it wasn't like that by default =). I enjoyed the content nonetheless and you look great in all of them!
@@yeh-ernpoh7511 oh no la we said we wanted to name 2 faves of the day! Since we tried diff steaks at each place so it didn't feel fair to choose fave location like we usually do. I also loved Huber's steaks!! Already recommended to my friends for its awesome taste and affordability. And aww thank you ♥️♥️
