27 minutes in.. the lady is asking S L to do any Shout outs.. its slang for 'any one inspired not mentioned?'.. its tough to communicate with one's own hero and Idol.. an icon.. and he is still alive and working.. spike is the frank S, chairman of the Board, as far as most are coin-cerned,. thanks for sharing the sights & sounds. peace & God Bless
Great conversation! Love Spike, although he does ramble a bit towards the end. Lol. Also seemed stand-offish at times, like answering that poor girl's question about unknown directors, "Have you ever heard of Elia Kazan?"
I thought that was actually a tough question on the spot. Anyone who has ever made an influential film is probably already known. I was even trying to think of some myself and struggled. I think he said Kazan on the chance she might not know much older films.
as per Spike,.. there is no Opportunity Cost by hand writing out the script for 'do the right thing'. if spike had learned how to type than the cost of hand writing over typing might have lead to a Opportunity Cost (loss in time that could have been used else where).. note spike mentioned the '4 hour per time' // Opportunity Cost is the variable one must assess before making decisions
Not just an interview but a semi hour long Master Class. Great Interview.
Spike will go down as one of the greatest filmmakers of all time.
This was MARVTASTIC... Spike did the right thing sharing this moment in time with us!
One of the best movies ever!
I love Do The Right Thing i just purchased a biography on Spike Lee looking forward to reading it

Doing the right thing would be for Spike to re-release "BAMBOOZLED". Stop effing around.
Bamboozled was just released in the Criterion Collection on DVD and Blu Ray
Would it be possible for me to get a shoutout?
Just glad he stopped including himself as one of the main characters in his movies (he was always the *worst* actor in *every* movie he starred in)
I disagree i thought he was great as Mookie
You trippin I love seeing Spike
Spike Lee is a racist and he makes terrible movies.
NOT TRUE!!!
