KTT Mint Linear Switches | Outemu Compatible | Canister Lubing | Thick Thock 22mm Springs | Thoccs

- I was really curious about lubing the stems all at once like bag lubing springs. But a small container or canister is much more accurate than a plastic bag. KTT mints are good switches just too light for my preference but I really love the color and thought it would match my keyboard! So I replaced it with a Thick Thock 67.5g+ DL series springs that are 22mm longbois! Still, don't judge me about the lubing method, I am just being a sacrificial lamb in case it won't work. But it did Thocc!
Compatible with Outemu Sockets.

the mod where you wrapped the wire with tape actually help me my keyboard is holee moded but still have some rattle untile i knew this mod. thanks for the wonderful video
SAME! TRIED TO DO EVERYTHING BUT IT STILL RATTLED UNTIL I FOUND THIS.
Eyyy, nice info once again! Btw, can you try if Feker smokey tactiles/white crescents would also fit in the outemu sockets? Coz I've seen that feker pandas worked, right? Watched all your outemu socket compatible compilation, btw! Thanks!
I will try to find one
are these better than akko matcha? great video btw, as always.
They actually sound the same coming from the same manufacturer (expected to have the same mold) the materials are the same. Stock spring the same design just different in weight. With the ktt mint the sound is a bit deeper maybe because the top shell is pigmented compared to the tinted tops from matcha. Also the stem height is a bit different.
@@pusakalmkb thank u, all the love ♡♡♡
Those artisan in the beginning looks delicious
Hahaha those are just erasers
so this switch has a longpole stem right? but is it any interference if using cherry keycaps on north facing keyboard with this switch?
None so far. Maybe on thicker ones like 1.4mm +
@@pusakalmkb ok thanks mate. kutgw!
Is this better than an akko jelly black? (in terms of thoccness) Great vid btw!
Has deeper sound than the jelly black because of the nylon bottom housing 😺
just ordered these fpr my redragon k552 with new keycaps hope they sound good. :)
Aww 0:59 is that teflon tape used to tighten water pipe thread? is this perform better than thin tape like Hansaplast Aqua Protect ?
How are these compared to KTT peaches, I want the best thoccs ☹️ I am kind of choocing between mint, sea lemon and the peaches
We're on the same boat here buddy
If you want thoccs , i suggest you gat mily pro ,
I buy ktt mint for their clack/pop/thock sound depends on your board also
How is it compare to the ktt sea salt? Is it thockier?
do you think akko rose reds are better or the mints all stock?
almost the same specs but the mints are pre-lubed so take that into account
What grese did You use for the wires???
Dielectric grease
1. How is this compare to Akko CS silver?
2. Which one has deeper sound ?
3.Which one worth the price?
pwede ba to sa lam ang outemu sockets? without sanding or anything else
Lam ang outemu socket gamit ko diyan hehehe, you can watch my full build in my channel :)
Can you do a review on other fekers switches like the Feker airy? since there's barely any reviews abt them and costs similarly to ktt and akko switches
I’ve got bad impressions with the feker pandas. The leaf feels inconsistent so the tactility differs from one switch to another. That’s why I looked away from the brand.
@@pusakalmkb Thanks!
are these by GOOFFY?
What is the switch opener you used?
Meow ~ love it!
Are all ktt switches compatible with Outemu sockets?
Yes.
Hey can I ask something? Is the ktt grapefruit outemu socket compatible too?
Yes!!
Is this just a Kang White recolor? Or it's different
Will try to check but for sure this has been around before the Kang Whites.
what would be your choose for best budget thoccs (excluding gat yellows)?
Ktt strawberry
@@pusakalmkb is it deeper and smoother than all of the other ktt switches?
Are these prelubed better than akko cs stock switches?
ktt mint po or ktt lemon?
which do you prefer, ktt mint or akko radiant red?
For the color KTT Mint, for the stock feel the Radiant because the springs are better. IMO
@@pusakalmkb and is it compatible with my redragon k530 po?
@@jum8ng908 yess compatible, because its same 3 pin
@@newtonpratama110 no the reason why only some switches are otemu compatible is because the pins are different. Otemuu pins are much thinner. So when otemu hot swap sockets were develops they were made thinner because it saved money. The only thing is that most switch pins are thicker making 99% of switches incampatible including akko cs switches
@@shashankmuralidharan8710 but Akko switches have thin pin tho...
how do you open the ktt mints with the switch opener. first time im using the switch opener and so far, after watching multiple videos, i cant open a single one with it..
Ktt are especially hard to open
Hey I have been researching what switches compatible for the e yooso k620 and I want to use ktt kang whites but the issue is, I still dont know if all ktt switches are otemu socket compatible, so are they? If you reply that would be a huge help, thanks.
Yeah so far all ktt are compatible.
I need to cut pins a little bit to put them in outemu socket or not? Thx
Perfect fit. No trimming
Hello po, what better po in your opinion, mints or akko matchas? I can’t decide po kase for my first keeb
Medyo same lang kasi sila eh yung mints parang recolor lang din na akko rose red.
Hi! How about ang ktt rose po? Do you think it fits rin sa outemu sockets?
which is better as an overall budget switch, akko rose red or ktt mint linear?
They have almost the same specs, and made by the same manufacturer.
@@pusakalmkb mamats idol, rose red na inorder ko and Godbless sa channel
how's the teflon wrap mod po? :) did a holee mod and currently ung isang stab nag loosen ung band aid. i guess i have to redo it with better placement pero too lazy. comparable ba sa teflon wrap ung holee? :D
mas madali teflon wrap and mas gusto ko yung tunog
Did you think this is better than gateron yellow switches?
I don't think so but these can be used on outemu sockets so it depends on the build and color theme you are aiming to achieve.
@@pusakalmkb Did you prefer gateron yellow to ktt mint switch?
Do all akko switches are outemu fit?
Not all, just the AKKO CS line which are made by KTT
sarap sa ears
ano po ang mas deep na sound, ktt mint or ktt wine red?
almost the same just pick the color you like
is the top cover really that loose?
Which one? The lam-ang top frame?
@@pusakalmkb yeah
@@kkurisu_1381 Yeah turned it like a removable shroud.
Rakk Pluma thoughts?
Hmmm might be the cheapest 65 layout with a wireless function but if you add 300-500php you can get a universal hotswap from RK so still thinking if it's a deal breaker.
@@pusakalmkb rakk pluma stabs dont sound good on its own. you need to mod it on your own and wire balance. I think its kinda deal breaker coz it comes with pbt keycaps to begin with. Altho i stil prefer dye sub pbt but i dunno. imma leave a sub here; been watching for a while nakalimutan lang magsub. keep it up
@@jancraft1230 ako naka sub na hehe
had an rk68 (old model, non-hotswap) and rakk pluma now....pluma is definitely an upgrade from the old version RK, but if you can afford the hotswappable rk now i think its a good choice considering you're gonna change the switches to non-outemu compatible switches (ie gaterons etc.) and upgrade your keycaps. Now, I'd say Rakk Pluma is way worth it if you'r getting it in an even lower price. I got my Pluma for 1.7k with shop voucher and free shipping only, this can get even less if you have coins and additional shopee voucher.
Additional costs for the mod depends on what you have already considering you dont have anything I estimated 1k worth of basic tools and mod mats if you're starting from scratch:
switch opener 175php
mod tool kit 250php at homebru (keycap puller, switch puller, brush, stem holder)
bent tweezer 20php
jwk plate mount stabs 350php at espyco (includes band aid, to be holee, clipped, and lubed mod. only used krytox 205g0 for housings and wire)
2mm eva foam 30php (one sheet good for case foam mod and diy plate foam mod)
krytox 205g0 210php at espyco
masking tape 35php (price depends on width, any would do. wider is more convenient. only needs 2-3 layers)
Total Mod Mats: 1070php
Rakk Pluma: 1995php SRP
Rakk Pluma w/ Mod Mats: 3065php
*Disclaimer*: prices may vary bc i assumed free delivery in all of these prices. You may get it for cheaper in other stores, and with shopee vouchers/big sales.
mod summary with these mats on my Rakk Pluma:
Lubed stock switches (outemu reds in my case), tempest mod (masking tape behind pcb), case foam, diy plate foam, and upgraded stabs (jwk plate mounted, holee, clipped, lubed), and band-aid mod (i used masking tape here too).
IMO, you'll prolly do all these mods to your RK keeb which will spike the price plus the prices of switches and keycaps; granted there will be layouts that RK offers that Pluma can never be, but if youre good with 65% exploded layout with 68 keys and you're building up a keyboard anyways, I'd say Pluma is really worth it. After all those mods I feel like I hit a plateau for the upgraded stock build and its really good that I don't feel like changing switches and keycaps for a long time. it may not look like your dream build, but if you're after the thoccs on budget, I'd say you can get it with Pluma for cheap. I'm really happy with this build cause' I was able to improve the Pluma from Clack-Tacks to Stable Quiet Thoccs.
If you read through this I hope I helped you out !! :)
@@theartskee4291 much appreciated :D
If I put it in to my rk61 will it sound similar to your keyboards switches
you might need to do some mods too
Ok
@@pusakalmkb should ı lube them, and put foam to the case
you may watch the FFC61 mods since they are both 60% keyboards you may get an idea how to mod your rk61 :)
