  • Hey!! In this video my friends give you a tour of their sleeping setup in their 2013 Nissan Rogue. With two adults and one dog, they show you the tips and tricks they've implemented to make it as good as possible. No building or permanent modifications were done to their car, allowing them to switch back and forth between a vehicle to sleep in and a regular one.

    Hi Hiiii hope you're doing so so well!! Had a great time with this video, and our hope is that you take this as inspiration to possibly start your own adventure car! Regardless of how much money you have or are willing to spend, if you're camping solo or with another person or animal, you can find what works best for you! Main goal is to explore and make memories :)

    THIS is the video I've been searching for, haha.. I will be moving into my Nissan Rogue with 2 big dogs, 1 little dog and myself and looking for how other people do it in the Nissan Rogue (similar to 2 adults with 1 dog, haha). I need to get that sleeping bag liner to cover my bed like they have but more to keep dirty wet paws off my bedding! My doggos will be sleeping with me and I've already accepted hair is just part of what comes with SUVLiving with dogs. (of course, I'll brush them constantly and buy stock in lint rollers too, haha)
    I like in your vehicle that you added the LED lights (I like that option more than fairy lights I've mostly seen).
    Just glad you posted this when you did and I came across it. Thanks!
    and oh, Go DUCKS!

    Great video! Is this a Nissan Rogue or Nissan Rogue Sport? What do you do for a cooler? Where do you store it when the car is in sleep mode?

    • @808bma
      @808bma  4 місяці тому

      Thanks!! This is the Rogue Sport. In terms of the cooler, it wasn't too big of a deal since it wasn't too warm where we were. BUT a simple cooler with some ice and then thrown in the roof rack worked decent...
      As for a more expensive but definitely reliable option, is a small Dometic Fridge powered by a Power Bank (Jackery).
      Both options can be kept in the driver's/passengers seat when in sleep mode!
      Hope this helps :)

    Anyone have tips for my first time solo car camping next month?

    • @808bma
      @808bma  2 місяці тому +1

      @@mirrorizen I would say the number one thing is to have fun👊 And some tips is that at times you may feel uncomfortable, but in those moments, remember that that's part of the adventure! It also helps us grow as a person. On your trip, as things arise, you'll learn how to be more efficient with everything.. I also would recommend that you do some planning prior to starting your trip! Scout out locations you wanna hit up, and potential places you could park and camp. It's always fun to be spontaneous but also it's good to have an easy backup plan already laid out just in case👊 Take care dude!

    Hi guys,
    Was it flat when you put your seats down and even? Or you just didn't care if it was a bit uneven?
    Thanks

    • @808bma
      @808bma  Рік тому +1

      Hi hi!
      My friends told me that when they put their seats down, it was a bit uneven, but they didn't care too much. I'll also say that if you buy some decent padding it'll definitely reduce it! I have a small almost mattress-like thing in my Jeep (vids on my channel too), and it made my uneven seats feel basically irrelevant :)
      Appreciate you

    • @808bma

      So you can buy bug netting to fit into rolled down windows to let air flow in but keep bugs out. If you get a battery power bank of some sort you could even buy a mini fan! Sorry if this isn't that much help, we haven't had to camp in SUPER hot weather yet! Feel free to ask anymore questions tho :)

    • @20003xmom
      @20003xmom 2 роки тому +2

      I saw a build video recently where someone had a battery powered portable AC unit -- that would be super helpful in that situation. But the bug nets work well for ventilation if it's not humid.

    Do those roof racks cause leaks at the windows, in heavy rain?

    • @808bma
      @808bma  7 місяців тому

      I don't think we ever had a problem with leaks. It's definitely possible that it caused a small gap for water to get into but if that happened it was never serious enough to notice!

    How do prevent carbon monoxide poisoning? I see you have windows closed

    • @808bma
      @808bma  5 місяців тому

      During the tour the windows are closed, but when they sleep they have bug netting that slides over the door and covers the windows. You get airflow while keeping bugs out. There are also window rain guards you can buy that allow you to have windows cracked a little even if it's raining! Hope this helps
