    Had severe anxiety and panic attacks in early March. I pushed through dizzines, headaches, body shaking, chest pain, and swallowing problem. Choose no meds and fought through. 95% better. It still comes back but it's less intense. We need to push through otherwise our brain will keep us in that state

    I lost both my parents during my recovery and had to detox off benzos and antidepressants it has been rough but have learned to trust the process not rush it. I quit fighting my fires with gasoline and night fight my symptoms instead let them be there and not respond to them. Be patient and live in the present moment. Accept life for what it is not as I would have it

      @@Iamisopik so with me I witnessed a shooting a couple of months ago and it really made my anxiety worse. I was told that I had PTSD and that certain things could trigger my anxiety and so when I started to believe I had an anxiety disorder it made my anxiety worse. Shaan has videos on triggers and how to respond to them. He also uploaded a guided meditation for responding to anxiety the correct way and it's so powerful. I used to be triggered when I heard loud noises or by certain things that reminded me of the event. But when I decided that I don't have a disorder and decided to put in the work and effort on desensitizing the nervous system, I don't feel triggered anymore. Learning about what a sensitized nervous system really really helped explain why anxiety is even happening in the first place. I used to feel so powerless and like I was cursed I really believe that if I could do this anyone else can because I was at such a low and intense point with anxiety and I'm still amazed at how I found shaans videos and applying the tools he gave actually work! I really hope you follow the process! Recovery is possible!

    Very profound insight here. Time alone implies our free will plays no role in recovery. A prominent biologist recently wrote that free will doesn't exist, one of the plainest lies I have ever seen printed. Learning to wake my free will to think differently than my body and brain wanted me to is worth more than all the riches of the world. It illuminated a path for my life that I otherwise would never have discovered.

    Here's one for you Shaan.I have anxiety but if I abstain from sugary sweets and don't play online video games ,get plenty of attempted sleep, it's barely noticeable. Not on any medication at the moment.The only thing that coincides that gives me hope that time will make my system go back to normal is the sleep apnea I discovered about myself a few months ago.
    From what I've read people that have had sudden anxiety and were diagnosed with sleep apnea said that it cleared up within a month of treatment.I'm currently in my fourth week so I'm hopeful.

    Hello, Shaan. I've been learning so many things from your videos, and I've wanted to ask two things:
    1. What are your thoughts on the relationship between anxiety and sudden weight 'gain?' - the opposite of weight 'loss' that many anxiety sufferers tend to experience, ironically. Do you think anxiety itself can be a major cause for sudden weight gain, and vice versa? Or do you have any other thoughts of your own? (In my case, I became more obese since my anxiety have started to take over my mind)
    2. Is it natural for anxiety sufferers to be going through difficulties with coming up with appropriate vocabulary to use every time I need to talk or write to someone? I once have suffered from depression-related brain fog in my high school days, and now it came back, but with anxiety for this time. This is the second time that I experience severe brain fog.
    I would appreciate so much if you find it in your heart to let me know your opinions and reasons.

      Blood pressure can go up when you’re anxious. Some people have super high numbers at the doctors but at home it’s normal. I had to get on medicine for it for a little bit because mine wouldn’t go down. But then got off the meds once my stress level went down. After that when it raises a little bit my doc tells me to get exercise.

      @@Aot1768 that’s a risk with a lot of meds. I was on them for a short period of time. I took propanalol. Getting off of it was a little hard and caused alot of anxiety. But when it was out of my system finally the extra anxiety went away then I just had my normal anxiety. My allergist suggested I get off of it if I can because it makes epi pens less effective (I’m on allergy shots so I need the epi pen) but that was another reason I got off of it.

    • @rigas333
      @rigas333 14 днів тому

      @@candycewindels1337 it comes down to the same principle of letting go, when you have a panic attack let go, I know how a panic attack feels and how intense the derealization and the feeling of death and fainting can be, I’ve been agoraphobic since 2009 but I’m getting better by the technique of letting go. Basically what Claire weekes says and what Shaan is teaching here. Also, I’m not anti medication at all, medication can help and if you need it then absolutely take it, but as you’re taking the medication and you start feeling better start practicing those techniques, the mistake is to take medication and not practice those techniques. Acceptance and letting go, recovery doesn’t happen overnight though. You have to be consistent with your work and your exposure to those places that trigger panic attacks. There is hope you can recover. Shaan is one of those people that can truly help you but in the end it comes down to you, you are the one who will make your own self recover

When the anxiety thought coming naturally we start to involve in that thought ,debate, fight,dislike that thought. If you can stop going into that thought then you doing correct response.
