"Stronger, wiser, more level-headed" after recovering from anxiety. Sounds good to me! I also appreciate Mirka saying she would do it all over again (that is, going through the anxiety) because it gave her more than it took away. So encouraging. Makes me hopeful.

These videos are always so great to see! I especially love that you featured her even though she didn't go through the mentorship. Honestly I respect you so much for posting something that doesn't advertise the paid mentorship in any way really. It really shows how legitimate you are about getting people better no matter how that happens. I hope to someday maybe be featured some day or at least message you about how important your videos have been in my life and how they've helped me recover to where I'm at right now. Thanks so much for being real Shaan. It's a really special thing!

Mirka is actually one of the head coaches of the mentorship, and me mentioning it isn’t an advertisement. If that changes your mind about this video, that’s fine. Mirka and I agree the mentorship Is the best and fastest way for people to recover.

@@byebyepanic Ugh I think you may have misunderstood what I was trying to say. There's nothing wrong with advertising it, I think it's a great program. I just thought this was extra neat but I still think it's awesome regardless.

I can relate about overthinking and over analyzing stuff. Feeling empty and not accomplishing things. My case is my tinnitus that triggered my anxiety and panic attacks.

Love this! I just found your channel a week ago and when you said that you decided to surrender to the anxiety, I felt that on such a deep level and cried. I have found so much relief since that night. It’s night a day difference. I know I’m recovering!

I have been suffering since I was 21 and I'm now 46. We had no internet back then.....it made life rough for help. And drs just weren't that knowledgeable either about this.
You have helped me more than anyone. I'm still trying but it's getting there.

I notice alot of classic OCD patterns from what she tells us about her behavior and her likes and dislikes, chasing "right", "according to my standards", "timing", "my way" etc.
Teaching our brain to control so many things and keep every small thing in order is quite tasking and distressing, if thats how we approach meaningless small things in life - imagine how much we'd need to control BIG IMPORTANT things in life, such as mental well being, thoughts, emotions, other large uncertainties... and how would a person like that would feel when he CAN'T control something or get it his way or "perfectly".
The problem is that we LIKE to control things, it's a behavior we think is helpful and makes us so much better, but when taken to the extreme it makes our life worse.
It's definitely sounds like a large control problem that was the root cause.
I would explore letting go of control and seeing what would happen, exploring dealing with uncertainty without being so... certain.
Perfectionism, having "high" standards, having a bunch of rules to everything - it's all made up by us, we don't have to live with so much useless restrictions and demands...

The monitor thing made me laugh cause everytime I do those test for check ups, etc. They always take it off and try it again like 3x ask if i had a lot of coffee, etc. I tell them, no that's not going to change just write down the heart rate. I had to get rid of my fitbit cause it kept congratulating me on all my exercise, but i never exercised. It just thought so cause my heart rate was consistently over 120.

I’m currently suffering from anxiety and panics attacks. It’s come to the point where my body feels completely numb and feel like I can’t breath. Its like a feeling as if I’m going crazy trapped in my own body. I’ve had anxiety always but it’s gotten worse. It really started happening after me and my ex were breaking up. I went to the doctors and they told me im ok I also saw primary doctors and he had me do blood test and everything came back fine. I’m still experiencing panick attacks so bad that I’m getting scared of them. I don’t know what to do.
