Good to see you back 👍missed your work. I have been working my cotical and trying different razors and strokes over the last few months...still undecided and have to finish on another stone for smooth shave. Not giving up though

Tony Martin Coticules can be tricky indeed and some do not provide a shaving edge for all of our taste... have you tried Dr Matts under running water technique?

@@RobertOrtiz1015 Still feeling the coticule and trying to find that sweet spot. I have checked out Dr Matt's technique and giving that ago whilst the edges are good from the coticule thinking I can still.get them better. Cheers T

I'm a little late to the party on this video but just wanted to share that I recently bought a Coticule which would not classify as "ultra fine"/hard. I'm new to honing. I've been experimenting w/a progression thru 12k to .5 diamond spray on felt before finishing on the Coticule. I use undiluted dish detergent on the coti. Because of different steel & grinds, I finish ea razor w/different lap qtys. I do 4-6 laps then shave and keep doing that until I find the edge I like. It's a kinda Dyslexic approach but it works for me.😉

Very nice coti! And educational to see how thick your slurry is.

@@RobertOrtiz1015 I tried it on a GD 208 last night. Finally a very nice edge and a easy way to dilute. Thanks! 😊
