- Live At The Sahara Tahoe. The Black Moses of Soul was at the peak of his powers when he and his orchestra made this two-disc document on November 26, 1972 before an effusive Lake Tahoe audience. Hayes pulled out all the stops--singing, rapping, and playing piano, organ, alto saxophone, vibraharp, and tambourine. And not only did he serve up some of his own hits, including "Theme from Shaft," but he lent his soulful touch to a number of tunes he never tackled in the studio, among them the Doors' "Light My Fire," Bill Withers's "Use Me" and "Ain't No Sunshine," Carole King's "It's Too Late," T-Bone Walker's "Stormy Monday," and the Roberta Flack hit "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face."
I use to have this Album on 8track...I think this concert is some of his best work..

Love this Carol King tune by Isaac Hayes, such character and fine tune instruments. Voice is magically clear. Big Up Ike. Thank You R.I.P.
I love any version of this song...Carol King, Issac Hayes, The Stylistics, etc.
Don't forget the Isley Brothers version. 🎼🎼🎼
Gloria Estefan has an amazing rendition, as well.

My absolute favorite version of this song. Isaac makes it reach your soul at a whole new level
Yo, Isaac Hayes remakes of other peeps songs is like no other!! His renditions are so epic, it almost sounds like a new song! When those horns are playing at the 3:40 mark is seriously tight !😎
