Thanks for this video on our little railway! Note that "Elch" (the large red diesel from the Furka) is not considered as a replacement for steam when we'll get to the end of the line, but only as a capable helper and work train engine. We have a few powerful steam locomotives in store (Lulu being one of them) that will fit in there perfectly, to replace our precious tram engine!
Thanks for the information about "Elch" and obviously a lot of thought has been given to the locomotives that will be needed when the line reaches Saint Omer.
@@GarethJonesPilipala you're welcome! We have one currently in restoration at our older museum in Butry sur Oise, she's a beautiful 2-6-0T built by Decauville.
Going at a fair lick there!
Very nice, like
Thank, glad you like it.
Thank you. I liked this railway too.

A good start to the project. It should be even better when they reach the SNCF station.
Yes, but I think it's going to take them years to get there. There isn't the volunteer base that narrow gauge lines have in the UK.
@@GarethJonesPilipala we're now up to 6km, with 700m laid in a single week (3 days!)
@@hugoslr That's excellent progress. I'll have to make another visit to the railway.
@@GarethJonesPilipala obviously that new section is not open yet, but it is very nice to see the project come to fruition :)
