Power Metal and Thrash Metal were so similar back in the middle 80's: Two guitars complementing each other, harsh vocals with high pitched screams, fast drums with lots of double bass, crap production and mixing. An entire generation of kids whom grown listening to Judas Priest and all the good and classic Heavy Metal.
I have always wondered why the guy who mixed the Helloween EP, Walls of Jericho and Judas did it so bad... I know those were another times, the technology and yadda yadda... What I mean is, for example, Hansen was in the left channel and Weikath to the right. I can hear clearly Hansen's guitar in the harmonic parts but Weikath's is so far and low volume that I have to use earphones and damage my ears in order to hear his guitar (example: Victim of fate) and other songs the harmonic part is just a mess, an impossible to understand mix of sounds (example, "Metal Invaders") Maybe is just my idea (since I play the guitar I want to play the songs the best I can but I can't if I can't understand), maybe I'm just wrong but it would be great if Noise people could release a better mix of these albums. Thx for your attention.
They should re-record a few songs of this album since the power metal was born with this album and is a masterpiece that deserves a better sound, I still like it though
@@loui2w118 they should remaster the complete album. Or even have Kiske sing on it...Songs like Guardians Cry for freedom etc. would be amazing...This album could potentially match perhaps even the Keepers.
@@rbihon Indeed. After hearing Kiske's version of "How Many Tears" on Live In The UK, I realized that it's Helloween's best song. Production is everything at times
Beim Intro bekomme ich jedes mal Gänsehaut.

I get goosebumps every time I hear the intro.
This song best describe what that is going through the minds of gambling addicts. It should be included in mental health teaching materials.

It could be a combination of things. Like: the times, a certain noisey sound they wanted and also not nailing it perfectly
