Otto Scharmer in Dialogue with Thomas Hübl: Global Social Witnessing and the Current Crisis

- What is the background to the current global crisis situation with the #coronavirus #pandemic? What do we need now and what are the prospects? What role does collective trauma and absencing play? In contrast, attention and awareness is the real super power today. In this exciting and energized dialogue, Otto Scharmer, senior lecturer at MIT Boston, and inventor of Theory U, and Thomas Hübl bring together their concentrated expertise, analysis of the situation and outline a future perspective. A total of 1,400 people followed the livestream on March 30, 2020.
This exchange was part of the Global Social Witnessing Conference of the IfGIC (Institute for Global Integral Competence), which had to be cancelled as an onsite event due to the crisis and was partly held online. Many thanks to Prof. Kazuma Matoba and his team for organizing the conference!

Presencing and Absencing are excellent ways of looking at our choices of responding to
our collective and individual situations. I like Otto's diagram and explanations.
Thomas adds to the mix with his own ideas that augment the dialogue between these
two like minded individuals. These guys really know their craft. Skills beyond the ordinary
healers of today. Fine examples of evolutionary thinking and deep running intelligence.
We can see living examples of how being present can attain a higher realm of conscious
thoughts. Leading us toward a better tomorrow. From two professionals in tune with our
current Covid19 crisis. Talk about trauma! It's gonna take a lotta "Atta Boys" to make up
for this "Oh, SHIT!" Best regards to us all. Namaste' pilgrims.

Thomas, you speek about letting other people be a mirror for that where you can not see yourself. And then you speek about the nature of not seing yourself as a protection system... Can you explain a little bit more of that? I find that very Interesting. Thank you two beautiful men for your important perspectives in this exiting time🙏

How can trauma be neutralized at the collective level through collective presensing, theta level hypnosis self-programming and energy psychology? In awareness based community there is heart-mind resonance, interdependent nature of individual and collective is understood and the space offers safety, compassion, mutual learning and growth for each other with distributed awake leadership.
Thomas talk about developing and using coherence building tools. What would be examples of that?
These principles and evolutionary potentials are so ripe, and i'm beyond ready to be in dialogue and prototyping rather than sitting in my room with ideas no one will try out with me. Arrgh.
The processes described requires huge amount of HONESTY. Otherwise, everything would just be cerebral
and huge doses of HUMILITY : )
I enjoyed Otto 's contribution.
However that of Thomas feels over self centred for me. The work of Paul Lowe is for me more relevant
