Plug chain is for the vacumn motor on the cruise control system. Allows you to add throttle to pass while not disturbing the set point. Love the 70 Toro style. Seen couple of GT's over the years. Wish i could go back in time to get them now.
You paid $800. Given the condition what was your first offer? I'm curious as i think the car hobby overprices junk cars because they can and it leaves a lot of cars wasting away because its not affordable to buy and repair
First offer was 700, we meet at 800. I strictly bought this for parts. Probably going to sell the 455 for 1k once i get it running, instrument panel stuff go for a few hundred as well.
The chain was for the cruise control. I have a 70 Tornado and that's the one option I really wish I had.

My Eldorado has the same chain attached to a vacuum diaphragm. That’s a beautiful Olds by the way!!
