I think what Rang meant by that was about the ability of yeon to do lightning. Because remember the satori guy had said " you can do lightning in the sky and you can control it" and in return he said "this guy can do that already"
He has to have/gain the power to make his little brother immortal....come on...imagine the fight scenes they could have with the bad guys.....and we could get 10 more seasons of them, win/win!!!

Since demons are able to bounce back from stab wounds and getting thrown around rooms, the fall probably just weakened them. The boss probably died from shattering when he fell from the roof.
