Heya mate! So this is a tough one as there are so many variables: budget, feel of the camera, interface etc. What works for one person and feels comfortable may be completely different to somebody else. I'd always suggest going to your local camera shop and having a word with them to get their recommendations 😎
Cheers! I've been trying to keep things consistent with uploads and all that fun stuff, although I will be missing a week or two coming up. And thank you, I got mega lucky with where it decided to land 😀
@@damianjohnwildlife Totally get that mate I started of with consistent weekly uploads then my scheduled got interrupted with life haha. Hopefully able to get things back on track now!
A bird watching 101 for sure. Some frustrations, poor weather but Damian you are always so positive no matter what. A nice mix of super pictures and narration. By the way I love the before (RAW) and cropped final pictures. Keep them coming ...
Thank you! I'm glad you appreciate the before and afters, I almost forgot to include the RAW's but remembered a recent community post where a lot of people were interested in seeing them. Cheers!
I've never seen a Water Rail..EVER! And what is the very first bird you spot?? 😂😂 I did notice that the wheelchair access to the hides is sadly lacking. 😐😐
I know! Absolutely insane luck but as it happens, I was tempted to jump downstairs to get a more eye level view with the water rail as the hide itself is on two levels. The first two hides you see in the video; The Joyce and Arthur Jacobs Hide (long name) and the Water Rail Hide are both wheelchair accessible albeit the view from the Joyce and Arthur Hide would be lacking. Same could be said for another wheelchair accessible hide around the corner 'The Hobby Hide'. it sadly tends to be a bit overgrown. As for the Flashes (opposite side of the reserve where I was hoping to see some waders) unfortunately none of the three hides are wheelchair accessible as access to the reserve is via some steps but I don't actually see why that couldn't be expanded on to make it easier to access for individuals in wheelchairs.
Very relaxing video. Spotting a kingfisher always makes my day!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it 😀 I'm so stoked that it decided to land so close
Great stuff: water rail, and my favourite, the shoveler! Another very watchable video. Thanks for sharing.
