Thanks for your comment, I have seen a couple of failed attempts by ravens on rabbits in the past, but this was the first successful hunt that I've witnessed.

rabbits have always been fair game not only for birds, predators but also ancient man and native americans feasted on rabbits when big game was scarce. especially in the cold snowy winter months

Rabbits are introduced species here in Australia, which have turned into unwanted pest.
