I don't often feel moved to comment on a video, but I must say that was fantastic - thank you. Those couple of bars for "Passion" took me right back to my early teens, sat on my late grandfathers front room floor with a cup of tea and a digestive biscuit. I've been a fisherman ever since.

      Hi Michael,
Thank you for your very kind comments.
It's things like that, that make it all worth while.
I agree with you that those first few lines from the theme tune have a way of catapulting us back in time so how.
Strangely, everyone I talk to has a memory of where they were at the time Passion came out. Very powerful.👌

What a fantastic interview with Bob James who was so inspirational to me after watching A Passion For Angling. So good seeing Bob looking so well and still as passionate about his fishing.
I will never forget the episode of A Passion For Angling when Bob caught a net full of big Roach. That is what dreams are made of.
    Tight lines.
    👍

Just a delight to watch, i would of happily watched another 2 hours Listening to Bob James answer your questions. The whole interview reminded me of so many lovely times in my life fishing as child starting when my Dad first took me to our local pond and how it shaped my life from just catching a minnow to becoming a Gamekeeper and understanding the outdoors and still nearly 50 years on im still fishing, ive realised how important it is to appreciate life and how lucky we are.

PS, I was so inspired I just had to get “A Passion for Angling” off the bookshelf and start reading, once into the book I had to start watching the Video interspaced with reading!
Both are classics, and you won’t top them, so I think Bob is right not to contemplate a sequel. Much to be said for “quitting while your ahead”

Good interview, and long enough to do Bob justice. Funnily enough, Passion for Angling evoked similar feelings to Mr Crabtree. Both presented impossible locations, catching extraordinary fish. This was the beauty of it and the sting, exclusive waters that were almost legendary, filmed in an idyllic way.
My tackle answer was identical, trotting with a match rod using bread.

Poor Bob & poor rivers. 'They' once they've infiltrated, see to it that its very open to debate what happens to funds. They've infiltrated everywhere thats lucrative in donation & they won't tolerate anyone who wants it to go where its supposed to!
