You are spot on by saying that Super Junior and SHINee are SMs experimental groups. SuJu is the huge experimental group and SHINee is the small experimental group. They constantly change concepts and visuals for every comeback and it works every single time for them. They can do anything.

they are SHINee's big brothers in SM. Suju has great stage presence and their Super Shows are amazing to watch. so much chaos and fun. I love these guys!
Do you know what I would give to see TVXQ, SuJu and SHINee perform together? I don't mean like SM Town, I mean just these groups. Can you hear their Vocals when they're singing and can you imagine the chaos when they're not singing🤣
Super Junior is the older brother to Shinee and I mean literally. Just as they are the brother group to Girls' Generation/Snsd. What Kpop is known for today is all because of Super Junior hardwork. First idols to branch off into all areas of entertainment. They are the reason idols frequent variety shows and are actors. First to have subunit (6 in total each covering a different music genre), first to have foreign members. First to win international awards, first to have 100 concerts, first to have large group (15 at it's peak). First to have their own shows and their own label. The only one to conquer #1 on music charts for over 2 years. And only one to ever be banned from music award because they were winning too much. First, to bring K-pop to the international world. They are the King of the Korean Wave. Their song Sorry Sorry was the golden key and swept the world back in 2009. Just about everyone and their grandmother has covered this song. First to enter Billboard Latin charts. And there are many more firsts under their belt. I highly recommend their docuseries The Last Man Standing.

Super Junior have done every genre possible from pop to ballad to edm to latino to hip hop to musicals, they're super experimental and talented and of course super funny.
You need to check their classics but also explore their bsides cause they're discography is impeccable and you should also watch their live shows, they vocals are unmatched.

That's why when I went into kpop during pandemic, I started with other groups but stopped with Suju and became their fans because they have a variety of songs suitable for every situation and mood. Mind you they have 500 group songs and more than 800 songs if you add solo and sub unit songs and ost.

They're definitely versitile and broad! They definitely have a 'sound' that they return to, but they've done pop, r&b, balads, latin, trot, bubblegum pop, electropop etc. They've released songs in Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish. They're also very well know on the variety show scene, having had several of there own variety shows, and appearing as guests and hosts of popular shows. They've certainly tried a little bit of everything...
I agree about how broad suju's musical spectrum is my favorite songs by them are not even similar at all lol they still to this day have some of my favorite vocal songs

The musical style of super junior is the old style of kpop. But they also pretty often experiment in songs, let's just say don't don, house party, spy. I chase them because their sound is right to my ears. Sure, their music is old-school style, but they're very colorful. Fit to everybody who looking for casual stan.
They haven't been old school Kpop since "Devil" in 2015, "2YA2YAO" isnt old school and "Burn the Floor" tracends both Kpop and every other genre.

Super Junior is a very versatile group with a long trajectory, they are one of those few groups that are not afraid to try different genres... They started the Hallyu wave (Korean Wave) the members are very versatile too, you can see them all in everywhere, while some are actors, others are MCs of programs, variety shows, musicals, producers, directors, etc... They are like Barbie, they can be whatever they want to be lol
It would be great if you reacted to "Lo Siento" and "One More Time", both songs are collaborations with Spanish-speaking artists, and they combine Korean, Spanish and English in those songs, they are incredible.

Really yes, SJ has explored so many genres and has innovated so much that many times they have been inspiration or the beginning for the industry to aim for new styles. We have contrasts from Don Don't and at the other end "Lo Siento" or another example is "Black Suit" and then 2YA2YAO, really, those men are gems of talent.
My recommendations as I mentioned before:

I love the King of Trot parody, but I doubt that Roscoe will get trot music and parodies are only fun if you know the originals. For the fun side of SuJu LSS might be better, except for "Joke".

And you are not wrong! When we say they can do ANYTHING we really mean it! Trot, pop, latin, hiphop, rock, ballad, along with that insane voices they all have! That is the signature of super junior, it doesn't matter what they do they will do it right. And also shinee and super junior are like brothers they look up for each other, as well as our fandoms! You need to react to the sub-units, without these guys there would be no sub-units in K-pop as it was the ingenious way to solve the problem of military service, plus each sub-unit has its own style and musical genre.

Their full album is always consisted of several genres. It is quite diverse, they are actually really good, and surprisingly catchy. Coming from SM who loves experimental music, SJ discography is actually one of my favourites from them.
My first time for Super Junior. Love. Love. They all can sing! Gorgeous voices! Love the concept and choreography. A 10+. I have one change that I would have made with the lighting during one part. See reply . And yes, Roscoe, I got your point about comparing them with Shinee. I recently discovered how good Shinee is when they appeared on IU's "Pallette" show. They sing one of her songs so stunningly beautiful. If you're a fan and even if you aren't, go check them out on IU's show. I can't wait to go hear those other 2 Super Junior songs. Thanks, Roscoe.
During the part where they are dancing with the lights in their hands...which I love... they switch to full overhead stage light. My opinion. The overhead lighting didn't fit here. It was bland and boring. Too stark a change. I would have backlit the set. In all those coves and background places on the set, I would have lit those up and created a warm, cozy ambiance. However, I won't reduce my choice of giving them a 10.

I was just recommended this video as an ELF and I'm happy! Super Junior debuted as Super Junior '05 because the original concept was that people were going to graduate and keep adding members and these were going to be the 2005 members but fans loved them so much and protested so much that fans peer pressured SM into making them a permanent group so the 05 was dropped. Kyuhyun joined a tiny bit later than the rest and in the beginning they were 13 members (plus 2 others for the Super Junior M Chinese subgroup) but there's 9 members left. If you want to believe that vampires might be real you can look up each members ages as well because these men don't age. :)
Yes, Super Junior and SHINee are both broad-ability groups. They each have their own color and flavor though. Super Junior's my top Kpop group, but SHINee is also one of my faves and it's due to the fact they can pretty much do it all. I would say as an overall group, SHINee are better dancers while Super Junior are better performers in my opinion.

Super Junior are noted for starting the Korean wave called Hallyu. They are a super talented band not just for their songs but also for acting roles and variety show presenter roles.
