Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest is a 1995 platform game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was released on 21 November 1995 in Japan, 4 December in North America, and 14 December in Europe.

Nobody wants to see another run just to get all the bonus.
So why not cheat?
In the first level of the first World. You go to the cabin but you don't grab the coin, you jump over it twice to read the note. Then you exit the cabin, avoid killing any enemies, don't grab any of the two bananas and grab the first 10 banana 🍌. Go back to the cabin, grab the coin and you'll earn ALL the bonus coins.
You're welcome. That's how you succeed in life, you cheat.

@@jamescorey3516 Well he shouldn't have to do another run. He'll just have to replay the levels where he missed Kremkoins. It will be worth it for the true last boss fight.

Today I learned that K. Rool has a hitbox when he is down.
With Squitter, if you press L and R simultaneously at the top of your jump, you'll place a web right below yourself. This helps when you need to go straight up.
DK2 is peak Donkey Kong. Even K. Rool is fair but challenging. The music is chef's kiss.
Submerged Seadogs is the group of under water creatures. They have category titles before the individual ones

@@jamescorey3516 Stop the cap dude. YOU don't wanna see him seek out the bonuses. Other people, myself included, DO wanna see it. Whatever the case it's up to Ryu. No need to go running around spamming your personal preferences all over the comments.

There's no indicator on which bonuses he missed unless we go and see all his streams and see which one he missed.
If you're willing to tell him which one he missed, go right ahead. But I'm not gonna do that. Now it's your responsibility to ensure he goes to all of the right levels and does all the bonuses.
@@jamescorey3516 Uhh, dude? Every level name has a ❗appear next to it once you collect every Kremkoin inside - just like how a "(DK)" appears when you find the DK Coin. Everyone knows that. Ryu knows that. Seems only _you_ didn't know this, yet you chose to go on a spamming tirade.
...Additionally entire map areas also get a ❗or (DK) indicator when you find all respective items for every stage (excluding Lost World transport spots). Let's also not forget you can Start+Select exit stages and retain any progress.

102% is the total completion for this game!
DKC1 is 101%, DKC2 is 102%, DKC3 is 103%.

@@rickmartinez3268101% in DK1, 102% in DK2 and 103% in DK3 (Plus, I think there is a secret hard mode where you can reach 105%).
In DKC2 a few bonus levels are diabolically hidden, but most are pretty obvious when you actively look out for them (imo).
I would love to see 102% and the true ending however many episodes that is :D
(oh and also: no, you don't have all DK Coins yet, there are more levels)

you have to stop at every kong place if you want 102% so every funky, swanky, and wrinkly area. bonus worlds have 1 bonus room with a DK Coin as the reward instead of bonus room coins. Also have fun with Animal Antics lol
Im pretty sure you don’t need to visit any of the kongs for 102 but its been ages since I did 102 so I could be wrong.
Last time I played when I got 102 I didn’t visit every side kong stage
@@kingchongy1712 no you do need to visit all of the Kongs for 102. My buddy and I went crazy one playthrough because we had all Krem and DK coins but no 102

Diddy beat K Rool because there were no "Do it again" down-smashes to fear! Huzzah for this epic classic. Major props on not getting a Game Over in the Screech race.
That extra life before hitting the wall was clutch
Up for debate whether this one or Tropical Freeze is the hardest DK game but you passed through the endgame with grace to shiver K. Rool's timbers. Animal Antics and Klobber Karnage are probably the toughest ones remaining. Hope you try DKC3 as well.
For 100% it's without a doubt Tropical Freeze. Those speedruns are outrageous

Watching this series with my kid has been a blast because I was about his age when I was playing them the first time. Every new level I’d go, “Hey I remember this! I made it further than I thought!” Turns out I’m pretty sure I made the final boss fight but I don’t recall getting past the spinning barrels.

Of course we have to see the 100% finale! In the GBA version of "Stronghold Showdown", you actually fight an exclusive boss before it rewards you with a Kremkoin.
I remember Captain K. Rool being fairly difficult last time I played this game. I always got to the section where he would turn invisible and teleport, but it always gave me some trouble. Sometimes he just kind of teleports on you and you have no time to avoid getting smacked!
Probly my fave game of all time 🤔. I 102% this game at least once a year. Classic

"I'm chokin' here!" Haha nah brother, this game is just intense. As a child about 8 or 9 years old almost 30 years ago now it was kinda crazy! Glad you got to experience it. The music in the toxic tower is one of my favorite tracks, because the second half sounds so victorious and cheerful compared to the first half which is dull and full of suspense. Cheers

PS, the music in this game is absolute genius! Probably the very best soundtrack from any DK game, and maybe even in all video games.

They are categories of the enemies to introduce them. So Lazy Landlubbers were all the ones found on land. Submerged Seadogs are the underwater ones. There isn't supposed to be a character for the category name. It's the same as it introducing the bosses.

It'll be crazy if you can find all the bonus areas without a guide. I had to buy the official guide when I was younger (it's in shambles, didn't preserve stuff when I was a kid). You're already doing a great job finding some of the more dastardly hidden stuff, so I think you got this!

I have never played this game, my OG copy has a bad battery. I recently played via Emulator, and did not cheat, and played through. What a masterpiece of a game, but it was so difficult. I think I died 50 times to King K Rool!

I enjoyed the trilogy in my youth, tropical freeze is amazing.
I feel some of the difficulty in this game at times is poor hit detection and almost like a glitch, when it looks like you're on a platform but fall sometimes

There is a rare console glitch/bug on Toxic Tower. If performed it will literally destroy your SNES cartridge.
