Pretending I'm on the Great Pottery Throwdown because I'm obsessed. Pt. 5

  • This is definitely the weirdest project I ever made. Here I try my hand at coil-building and figure sculpting a gargoyle for the Great Pottery Throwdown episode 5 challenge! He may have ended up looking more like a garden gnome than a gargoyle, but I like him all the same :) Let me know what you think in the comments below!

I love this strange creature, very Pan. You did the eyes really well, eyes on ceramic sculpture can be a bit hit and miss. This creature has kind eyes.
Watching you (and also Throwdown) has got me so enthusiastic for pottery again. I put it aside these last few years due to moving house a lot, and workshop time at my local pottery almost doubled in price, but now I'm confident to do my own thing and my first task back into it will be a set of feature tiles for my new house - thanks for your recent tiles video and all your content!
