Nice. We had a planned power outage for 8 hours. I have a yeti 1500x. In our garage It powered our 7cu deep freezer and our 2nd fridge which is a dorm type fridge that is about 5 feet tall. There was about 60% left when the power came back on. I even hooked up the garage door. We have the battery set to preserve battery life mode so it tops off at 85% and discharges to 15%. The fridge and deep freezer are energy sipping and using the 120w power supply it struggled when trying to charge back up. I feel 200w of solar panels would be minimum to run indefinitely however 3-4 panels would be optimal. It can handle 600w input. These power generators are no joke.
I do recommend USB powered dimming led light bulbs.
Love to watch the progress on the property. It cool the you guys work well as a family, and no complaints from the kids. Wishing you post more.

My job is boring so I like to live Thur others so I watch UA-cam videos to make my time go by. Also some me and my husband can talk about what seem as we drive 18 wheeler across the USA.
I agree less quality is fine with us. More videos and line them up for the next weekend so we have a fresh batch when we are off work.
I have been looking for something like this. After watching 2 different UA-camrs that I trust above all other's I ordered this. We are looking into solar panels for our Coleman popup so I didn't order the solar panels too. I felt that this suited our needs the best while we are out at our property trying to clear the land and in emergency situations.

There is literally a dozen other companies that did that first. And just about every off grid homestead plugs one of them. They all do just about exactly the same thing. Some even come with solar panels. Jackery is the big one.

Power stations are becoming really popular now, probably because of the bad talk about our electric power grid. I already had a backup battery power supply system for our computers, router, and one TV, which kept them on a couple times when the power went off. However, these power stations will do the same thing and almost as quickly for computer or other items when home power goes off. I hadn't heard of these before, however EcoFlow was the top rated when we got both of ours, however all brands are good, so price is the best decision maker, unless one has a feature like the light that you want. (Some brands will run AC when charging unless the battery is totally empty when you do it.)
I ordered one over two weeks ago. Have heard nothing about shipment yet. CC already charged. Payment went to some Chinese company. I suspect it has to be shipped from China. Website says nothing about this. Martin and Julie, how long did it take to get your unit? The non communication from company concerns me. I would never have ordered if I had known this was a Chinese company.

We live in Ukraine, in constant war with Russia. We are super happy that we have Ecoflow batteries+ solar panels and smart home panel. We get constant power outages because of Russia hitting our infrastructure. This is the best solution.

Sadly you, along with most UA-cam Creators, improperly call these units "Solar Generators". Let's as a group use the proper terminology for equipment. They are "Solar Powered Battery Back-ups" - they do not generate anything. They store power for later use.
Have to agree 100% how this 'battery packs' are hyped as solor generators. These things are expensive and eventually I see these becoming high priced dust collectors. And, to think Marty would spend an entire episode feels like desperation. Unimpressed 😡😡

You are right but it has "solar generator" written on the packaging so apparently the regulator is fine with letting them be advertised as such, which is a shame.
Yep just like a propane generator doesn’t generate propane. A propane/gas generator doesn’t generate anything with out an input. It can’t even store electricity. These units called solar generators based on an input source just like a gas generator.

In the example you made the unit is not generating power, it's storing the power generated by the solar panels attached to it. Might aswell also call it a gas generator then since you can also charge it up with that, right? I get showcasing the unit for a sponsor so you can keep producing the content we like but there is no need to try to justify this marketing practice as if it actually makes sense.

As much as I normally really enjoy your videos, there's nothing that makes a 15 minute commercial good. If people want to see more than a sales pitch and learn about solar generators and equipment, they need to watch Will Prowse's channel.

I agree. I’ve been following for a few years now, since the tent city before any footings done, and there was no advertising for years. There have been a lot of channels that I follow that are doing this now and between UA-cam ads and their infomercials, I am now looking for newcomers with the similar content that don’t have those annoyances.
Not to be rude but, if they need to feed their family, continue this way and lose subs or just get a job.
It’s too bad because I really did enjoy this channel.
