You will find it much easier to lift the entire car with the cherry picker, by lifting on the engine. Then set the car on your jack stands. Now you put a chain hoist on your cherry picker disconnect everything, and let the entire assembly drop straight down onto the legs of the cherry picker, and wheel it out. I do not take the struts out, just disconnect at the hub, but you need to scribe lines around the brackets to make sure the alignment comes back in on reassembly.
