Such beautiful work, I love what you did with the first wash. It looks so (frighteningly) messy / free, yet it does such an amazing job of setting the tone (:

I attended your class in Michigan and with each demo I thought this is the one that is not working for you and then you pulled it together to be outstanding in values. I bought one of your paintings and have to just stare at it in amazement. Thank you for this demo!

Love your loose style! I am looking forward to Joining you in Wells, Somerset in September. Would I be well advised to get some of the very chunky but well pointed brushes you use?

+Ole Hynkemejer Nielsen sorry for my late reply. Thank you for your kind comment. My brushes are big round (soft synthetic) for an initial wash and then another round (stiffer synthetic) for details.

+Keiko Tanabe Dear Keiko. Thank you for taking time to answer my simple question. I've also noticed that synthetic brushes can be really great. I'm now painting nearly every day and I enjoy it. I've been studying your technique and also Alvaros and I get slowly better, very slowly. I try to put my own emotions in the color and tonal value. I have now a lot of pictures filled with errors but I learn from each of them As you said once. Thanks for everything. I have now a great life and will follow your work.Take good care of yourself.Best wishes from Ole Hynkemejer Nielsen. Denmark
