Unbelievable!!! It shows us the progression that some songs must take to become classics. See Sympathy for the Devil, the movie. It seems this version was from the Rock & Roll Circus sessions. 60's vibe, dancers, oh yeah, definitely R&R circus. RIP Brian, but you gotta love MT!!!
You can find on UA-cam yet another interesting version of this great number that they cut at Olympic Sound Studios in 1970. It's got a very pronounced country feel, and is quite different from the Exile version.
Thanks ror finding these old songs (whoever it was) Made an old man very happy. Seeing my younger girlfiend on Thursday oops only 15 years difference! 😂❤
the absolute greatest in all of rock n roll history
Ah, the open G in all it's glory.
they became the greatest in rock and roll history
i have been a Stones fan for 55 years and this the first time i have seen this video ,WOW . i dig it
It is just a mash-up from Montreaux live footage with other stuff though.
Wow! Charlie's drumming and Keith's acoustic have a Street Fighting Man vibe. Love MickT's lead licks in this.
Charlie played that little 'suitcase' drum kit on both.
Appears on the Bootleg album "I gave you Diamonds, You gave me Disease, The Exile Outtakes"
Isn’t that a great title for an album?!
This is so cool!! It's great to hear songs in the early or experimental stages. Cool video too!!
spectacular version
GOD, I LOVE THIS VERSION !!
Mick taylor years were the best
i couldn’t agree more. !!
Awesome
I completely agree with you!
I love this song,,,,
The best version.
Sounds like the song was still in its early stages, both musically and lyrically, at that point.
So cool I’m trying it learn it and now I will try this way thank you

Sounds like it would've fit nicely on the Metamorphosis release along with the alternate versions of Memo From Turner and Jivin' Sister Fanny.
Thank you for these, amazing 🎶😎
It’s pretty stark how the rhythm and current changed quickly after this.
Video (without the dancers) is '72 tour rehearsal in Montreaux.
JP Slater, that's what I came here to say. Please fix the misleading title; it's not an early version we're hearing.
@@s.pottedjackal The audio is from Olympic Studios, October 1969. The video (of a completely different song) is from May 1972 in Montreaux.
@@jpslater9399, thanks for clarifying. It sounds fantastic without the spurious video.
Jam session. Just working it out as they go.

Elrctrifying!! If you know what I mean. Happy!

The music and the video don't match up. 2 different performances.( Stones footage is from 1972. No acoustic guitar)
when girls were real
Well ... Keith looks very sober again ...haha
Love Keith😍
Does anyone else think Steve Miller might have ripped the Stones off…
This is very reminiscent of keep on rocking me, baby .

I don’t think it’s 69
Not my favorite Stones song.
Andre Cartier 🇫🇷.
The finished track (Exile on Main St) is one their best rockers & brilliant live too !! 🥳❤️
