This was bad coaching on steroids ppl. How can u as a coach constantly allow lil ass Van Lith to inbound the ball over much taller players and she constantly threw the ball away. No double-teaming the big women in the post. LSU got killed in the post. Carolina had a bad game and still won. LSU needs MUCH better coaching. The players were not put in a good position to win coaching-wise.

I really like both of these teams. Great game! As well the composure of the young ladies at the podium is wonderful to see. Their responses were thoughtful and informative.
I was pulling for the Gamecocks FWIW. That LSU crowd was impressive. The fans really showed up and were into what turned out to be a really good basketball game. They got their money's worth. I thought that game was very exciting from start to finish. That was a hard faught win for USC in a very hostile environment.
LSU will be ready! Just can’t turn the ball over and put yourself in situations to get fouls. They will have to continue to work together, communicate and dig deep. Great game ladies

SC played NC and Utah which were both close games. Now you can add LSU to that list. LSU got double double machines, HVL, national champions on their team that played a team that barely played a max of 30 minutes as a whole last season. Give credit where it’s due
I'm in South Africa but love this team, their grit and determination. They made me take notice of college basketball, where previously it was only the NBA. Losses will come, that's part of the game. Well played, on to the next one!

LSU Ladies are great competitors and can hoop with the best of them. The fans love and support you all, but I also see the noise level as a detractor in your level of play. There seems to be consistent/constant verbal outbursts throughout women's basketball games, which is a lack of respect. You all have a job to do and hopefully the fans/spectators will embrace, engage and enhance a more supportive atmosphere that will promote optimum execution on the court. Big ups to both teams 😊!

Van had some key moments that she made bad decisions but she also made key points that we needed! They need someone or a mix off the bench to score 12-15 points or more!!!! I love me some AR! She don't care what anyone has to say about her she gonna be herself!

LSU needs some depth. The first half was basically perfect. Then they ran out of gas in the second half. When they got tired they started making costly mistakes. But this is a great team! Tough loss. Keep your heads up Tigers! Great game!
They weren't tired. SC just went for broke defensively and rebound wise, and LSU didn't follow through. But they'll watch the film, and improve from this. But I hear ya.. PS: That 4th foul against Reese was horrible BTW (the won where Cardozo fell on top of Reese), and made her fall down.
@@Charnelle3 I know about that one with Reese, when she was cramping up. But I don't know about the others. Poa; Del Rosario and Freshman Kent can play. So, I'm not sure why Mulkey does that. Plus, when you (essentially) have 5 All stars in your starting 5, you Automatically Have A Good Bench, cause you don't have to sub out all 5 at one time. As long as you have 1-3 of them in the game, you're going to get attention, which allows the "bench/role" players to score on easier shots. They just need to play strong defense and rebound. I think, LSU's lack of fight (which both Mulkey and Stanley highlighted) is what lost LSU the game from a non tactical point at least. Of course, there's a bunch of Woulda Coulda Shoulda plays; non plays or calls they could site.

I think this is the best they’ve played the whole season! I think they could’ve won because MK had the three point looks it just wasn’t her night tonight. Angel was playing ball tonight and I think a foul or two that was called on her wasn’t necessary. They look so defeated man and it sucks cause they played a really good game!
@Taron They led the overwhelming majority of the game. However, SC made little plays at the end of the 1st & 2nd qtrs (for example) that got them six points, that should have never happened. Hopefully, that will teach LSU to play hard all the time, and not have any mental lapses (unless, it's just cause HVL needs to learn the PG position and defensive assignments). Cause, you can get away with that with most teams, but not with a team like SC, unless they're having a really bad day, and/or you are playing really well. But I hear ya!!
Let's not forget the over back fouls on USC that were not called against LSU. So let's not focus on one player and her fouls. Angel Reese is not the team without Floujae, Morrow and Williams this game would have been over. Real talk.

Some of you people just like to put words in her mouth. She admitted the mistakes they made, named specific things they did wrong and could have done better, gave much deserved respect to SC. She claimed no moral victory. But we led the entire game, after being down 2-0, until the last few minutes of the game. We should have won, but didn’t. They actually played good ball all 4 quarters the game was good South Carolina is my team and we took the W but that game was the highlight of WBB and I loved every moment of it.
I always say, win or lose. This will be my team. I am beyond proud of what this team did tonight, and even though they didn’t walk out with the wind, this puts all teams on notice of what they’re capable of and what they can do. And for everyone out there who wants to point fingers and blame people for the mistakes, just be quiet. Every team will have faults in a game and it’s quick and it’s easy to point the finger, but the way these ladies played tonight just gives you a preview of what is to come. When his team is polished up to the way, they need to be is going to be a very scary thing. Go Tigers.

I think you're the only one who mentioned Williams missing shots. I guess her being so young gives her a free pass with most people. She was 5 of 18 and just didn't shoot well.

Maybe 1-2 of them were kinda bad shots, with the other 8 being good looks, which she usually makes at a 50+% clip. So, you can't get mad at her, as those were her usual shots.
SC is dangerous! They pretty much coasted until the last 5 mins of the game & beat us by a couple of 3s. We played like a team & we need to keep that consistency up. Van Lith was exactly what we needed her to be. Morrow dominating as she always does. Great battle between Angel & Cardoso 🔥 & s/o to Hall & Fulwiley. This was a GREAT game!
The fact they only loss by 6 says a lot. One of their biggest faults since the beginning is that they give up points on the perimeter. They need to learn to lock up those 3 point shooters. Johnson did amazing locking up paopao. But Bree hall and those 3 point shots won them that
Flau Jae is only a Soph. and a leader on and off the floor, She defines the word "Unselfish". Anessah Morrow is a straight up Dawg. She has been the most consistent throughout the season. Kim knows that one got away tonight, they could have won that game, but kudos to Carolina. Tonight was their night, there will be others. Damn good game, I hate that LSU came out on the short end but they played their butts off and left it all on the floor. Its good that they are pointing out their mistakes but not one young lady on that team has any reason to hold their head down.

Morrow is a model for sure. The projected brackets suggest LSU has to possibly get past the Colorado / UCLA / UNC or Ole Miss in the tournament...All of these teams are Titans right now. Not to mention the SEC tournament. Just to keep it real, LSU has to play one game at a time. Hopefully the loss did more good than anything. True, I think losing Smith with Injury and Poole being put off the team really hurt more than we would imagine. I like #23 the freshman she is gonna be alright, and it would be nice if some of the other freshman were given the opportunity to grow! But yeah Smith was a double double, and Poole was a True PG.
Both USC and LSU have great coaches. Both are straight-shooters. KIM and DAWN are good for NCAA WBB and for promoting women performing excellently. Both coaches are very wise. Proud of both programs.
Come March fatigue will hurt LSU players...I would have utilized my bench get the younger players in the game...this was the game to do it against a tuff time
Every team have work to do but it doesn’t mean your going to win every game. National championships everyone can’t win as competition gets tougher down the line as every team is hungry to be number 1. SC wasn’t playing their best either but the strongest survived l. Plus LSU is was exhausted as they couldn’t keep up anymore
The backcourt was more on Mulkey, who started talking to her as she was coming down the court. Mulkey even seemed to acknowledge it was on her by pointing to herself.
Angel Reese seemed too tense and uptight under the pressure of the match and got too aggressive defensively to get fouled out before the match was over. She was forcing herself too much at the risky situations.
I love this team!! With only a 7player rotation verses a SC 9 plus it was amazing..i almost thought we might keep that 11 point lead..but SC really pressed that 2nd half and took advantage of a few costly mistakes. To do to SC what they did we all proud of them. They will beat them!! Cant wait for the rematch

LSU needs some depth. The first half was basically perfect. Then they ran out of gas in the second half. When they got tired they started making costly mistakes. But this is a great team! Tough loss. Keep your heads up Tigers! Great game!
SC has the bench and sc in slightly better "tough shape"..mulkeys words...but im so proud of LSU..especially del Rosario
They weren't tired. SC just went for broke defensively and rebound wise, and LSU didn't follow through. But they'll watch the film, and improve from this. But I hear ya.. PS: That 4th foul against Reese was horrible BTW (the won where Cardozo fell on top of Reese), and made her fall down.

I know about that one with Reese, when she was cramping up. But I don't know about the others. Poa; Del Rosario and Freshman Kent can play. So, I'm not sure why Mulkey does that. Plus, when you (essentially) have 5 All stars in your starting 5, you Automatically Have A Good Bench, cause you don't have to sub out all 5 at one time. As long as you have 1-3 of them in the game, you're going to get attention, which allows the "bench/role" players to score on easier shots. They just need to play strong defense and rebound. I think, LSU's lack of fight (which both Mulkey and Stanley highlighted) is what lost LSU the game from a non tactical point at least. Of course, there's a bunch of Woulda Coulda Shoulda plays; non plays or calls they could site.

I think this is the best they’ve played the whole season! I think they could’ve won because MK had the three point looks it just wasn’t her night tonight. Angel was playing ball tonight and I think a foul or two that was called on her wasn’t necessary. They look so defeated man and it sucks cause they played a really good game!

They led the overwhelming majority of the game. However, SC made little plays at the end of the 1st & 2nd qtrs (for example) that got them six points, that should have never happened. Hopefully, that will teach LSU to play hard all the time, and not have any mental lapses (unless, it's just cause HVL needs to learn the PG position and defensive assignments). Cause, you can get away with that with most teams, but not with a team like SC, unless they're having a really bad day, and/or you are playing really well. But I hear ya!!

Let's not forget the over back fouls on USC that were not called against LSU. So let's not focus on one player and her fouls. Angel Reese is not the team without Floujae, Morrow and Williams this game would have been over. Real talk.

Some of you people just like to put words in her mouth. She admitted the mistakes they made, named specific things they did wrong and could have done better, gave much deserved respect to SC. She claimed no moral victory. But we led the entire game, after being down 2-0, until the last few minutes of the game. We should have won, but didn’t. But, like Mulkey said, our players have much to be proud of.

They actually played good ball all 4 quarters the game was good South Carolina is my team and we took the W but that game was the highlight of WBB and I loved every moment of it.
I always say, win or lose. This will be my team. I am beyond proud of what this team did tonight, and even though they didn’t walk out with the wind, this puts all teams on notice of what they’re capable of and what they can do. And for everyone out there who wants to point fingers and blame people for the mistakes, just be quiet. Every team will have faults in a game and it’s quick and it’s easy to point the finger, but the way these ladies played tonight just gives you a preview of what is to come. When his team is polished up to the way, they need to be is going to be a very scary thing. Go Tigers.
I think they did an amazing job so far i can proudly say, this has been my favorite game of the SEC season so far.

He was right though. she could have driven more. However/honestly: She hits most of those threes she shot last night. Maybe 1-2 of them were kinda bad shots, with the other 8 being good looks, which she usually makes at a 50+% clip. So, you can't get mad at her, as those were her usual shots.

SC is dangerous! They pretty much coasted until the last 5 mins of the game & beat us by a couple of 3s. We played like a team & we need to keep that consistency up. Van Lith was exactly what we needed her to be. Morrow dominating as she always does. Great battle between Angel & Cardoso 🔥 & s/o to Hall & Fulwiley. This was a GREAT game!
The fact they only loss by 6 says a lot. One of their biggest faults since the beginning is that they give up points on the perimeter. They need to learn to lock up those 3 point shooters. Johnson did amazing locking up paopao. But Bree hall and those 3 point shots won them that
Flau Jae is only a Soph. and a leader on and off the floor, She defines the word "Unselfish". Anessah Morrow is a straight up Dawg. She has been the most consistent throughout the season. Kim knows that one got away tonight, they could have won that game, but kudos to Carolina. Tonight was their night, there will be others. Damn good game, I hate that LSU came out on the short end but they played their butts off and left it all on the floor. Its good that they are pointing out their mistakes but not one young lady on that team has any reason to hold their head down.

Morrow is a model for sure. The projected brackets suggest LSU has to possibly get past the Colorado / UCLA / UNC or Ole Miss in the tournament...All of these teams are Titans right now. Not to mention the SEC tournament. Just to keep it real, LSU has to play one game at a time. Hopefully the loss did more good than anything. True, I think losing Smith with Injury and Poole being put off the team really hurt more than we would imagine. I like #23 the freshman she is gonna be alright, and it would be nice if some of the other freshman were given the opportunity to grow! But yeah Smith was a double double, and Poole was a True PG.

Both USC and LSU have great coaches. Both are straight-shooters. KIM and DAWN are good for NCAA WBB and for promoting women performing excellently. Both coaches are very wise. Proud of both programs.

National championships everyone can’t win as competition gets tougher down the line as every team is hungry to be number 1. SC wasn’t playing their best either but the strongest survived l. Plus LSU is was exhausted as they couldn’t keep up anymore

The backcourt was more on Mulkey, who started talking to her as she was coming down the court. Mulkey even seemed to acknowledge it was on her by pointing to herself.

Angel Reese seemed too tense and uptight under the pressure of the match and got too aggressive defensively to get fouled out before the match was over. She was forcing herself too much at the risky situations.
I love this team!! With only a 7player rotation verses a SC 9 plus it was amazing..i almost thought we might keep that 11 point lead..but SC really pressed that 2nd half and took advantage of a few costly mistakes. To do to SC what they did we all proud of them. They will beat them!! Cant wait for the rematch
I felt like Lsu started to look tired at times. Their starters are logging a lot of minutes and that wears on you as the season progresses.
