@@Physical_Logiki would be interested in knowing If theres a Tangible Difference between IP helper and DHCP relay because i think ChatGPT is gaslighting me Info believing Theres a difference
@Hangman11 There's no difference as they are one and the same. In the cisco world, the "ip-helper address" command implements the DHCP Relay functionality, and on platforms such as Huawei's VRP or YunShan configuration platforms, it's "dhcp relay server-ip" So between the dhcp relay and ip-helper, it could be a command line instruction or the feature itself. But they're one and the same.
Great video!! Thank you (A tip from another youtuber, in another account I have: Since this is educational, you can remove the music, and also move the subscribe request to the begining or end. I would advise it since people that come to this videos are not looking for entertainment, and are often easily irritated) Tanks again :)
Thank you for your feedback Carlos Sousa. It really helps us confirm the doubts we had before. In our new releases, we've removed the sound at the beginning and also moved the subscribe notification to the end of the video.
@@Physical_Logikalso worth listening the output or the synthesised voice. Hearing it try to pronounce the acronym DHCP as a word over and over made me wish I didn't have ears.
Hi I like your videos. I need your help i work in a gps company and you now to configure the device we need to point it to a domain and port server , now have can we setup a relay in between?
Yes you can. But not by broadcast. The DHCP relay receives the broadcast from the client, and then regenerates the packet to before sending to the server.
@@mohdfarzankhan991 Perform the following: 1. Configure the IP pool/scope for devices in the different network on the DHCP server and ensure the use the gateway for those devices as the gateway IP. 2. Go to the gateway interface on the different network and configure the IP-helper address on that interface for it to become a DHCP relay. 3. Ping the relay interface from the server, and ensure that they're reachable. It should work now.

Thank you sir for such a clear and illustrative explanation
Thank you, so clear, concise, and memorable.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you.
Great Video! Thanks for posting it. Helped me understand DHCP Relays for my Net+ Exam!

This relay setup, is it based on the DHCP protocol? And if yes, which OS are you using on the software platform?
@@Physical_Logik We haven't set it up in any protocol yet
Well done!
Why would you call it DSP?
DHCP is the word.
Can I sent packet from to another network

@@Physical_Logik DHCP ip is obtain in all pc but. Not packet sent to different network why
@@mohdfarzankhan991 what operating system are you using to do this? And if it is a simulation software, which one?
