I love Cassie's videos. I feel like I'm listening to a friend telling me about a new makeup product. I just trust her reviews so much more because she doesn't film with a backdrop and use a bunch of studio lights. I wish there were more UA-camrs like her.
Literally! Being super pale and shades called “porcelain” that actually look dark on my skin I’ve always paid more attention to the foundation shade range and always felt sad that I knew darker skin people didn’t have many choices either
That would be really cool. Like for every product she uses come back in a month or so and tell her thoughts then. Like she'll have her very first impressions and wear test through the day then after a month of still testing it come back and give maybe an even more detailed opinion on the product.
#1 dog stan I tried an almay acne helping foundation. I found that over time it did help my skin a lot. it brighten my skin, helped with my acne scars and evened out my skin color. I also found that i.had less breakouts. it was a little pricey tho so this foundation makes me curious and want to try it out. I think for theses types of products it would be nice for her to do a check in with is to see if it works
On camera this foundation looks sooo nice, doesn't cling to any patches like some of the others have done. It's a good morning when you wake up to a new video 👏🏼👏🏼

A couple of additional factors other than the price that might tip the scale for me are that ELF is a cruelty free brand, and the ingredients are good! (Witch Hazel, Tea Tree and Aloe, etc). I just might try it. I still break out at 52yrs old and my skin isn't overly oily.

I know this might be a dumb question, but when you test foundations, do you adjust your primer to match the formulation of the makeup, whether it's silicone, oil, or water-based? Could likely make a big difference on outcome...?
I'd love to see check-in's throughout the day to get a better idea of how foundations wear over time. There are mentions of check-ins in lots of your videos, but we don't get them (at least from the videos I've watched)? Personally, I don't always wear makeup for hours and hours until it totally breaks down, so it would be cool to see how it is still holding up at maybe 4, 6, or 8 hours in? I like how this foundation applied at the beginning though, might have to try it out.

I love this foundation I feel like it really smooths out texture. For anyone who has problem pores, acne etc... it does not sink into pores or cling onto dry patches in the slightest for me and is super buildable! I also think its funny that the makeup forever mat velvet + foundation has such similar packaging (not shade at all btw). Thanks for the review!!!!!!! xoxo
best drugstore foundation for "problem" skin in my opinion I just hope they broaden the shade range but elf is usually pretty limited with that unfortunately. Thanks again for the review Cass!!

after having watched at least 10 of your foundation reviews I have to say I personally think this looked like one of the best on you! you didn't get nearly as oily as I've seen in other videos. & for having as many break outs as you did even at 2am you looked amazing!! thanks for the video~ ♡
I was so excited to see that you were doing a review on this foundation! I use this whenever I start to get a breakout and it actually has helped keep my skin clear which shocked me when I first started using it. I have combo oily/normal skin and I found that when I used a primer with it, it tends to oxidize on me for some reason but when I use aloe vera gel (the 99% organic kind not the kind for sunburns in the store) as a primer instead it didn't and it stayed on my face in my t-zone really well even when I did get oily. I really hope that if you do end up trying this foundation more that it works out for you because of how in the middle you were in the end of the video.

Your reviews are so helpful! As an oily-skinned, acne prone glasses-wearer, your reviews are way more helpful than some other youtubers. Although you have dermatillomania,you seem to not have as many scars on your face as I do, so thats the only other thing I have to worry about.

ahhhhh I swear sometimes Cassie can read my mind lol my maybelline foundation stick is almost done I was binge watching all her drugstore foundation reviews on the hunt for a new one and I was considering this one cause I don't want to spend 35-50$ at Sephora for something (I only wear foundation rarely) Cassie is the only reviewer I trust so thanks for this
So glad you did a review on this since I've been using this foundation for over 2 years and haven't switched since. Very rare for me to break out severely so there's a small blemish now and then unless I try out another product and my skin freaks out. A translucent powder helps it last longer but I do like the dewy finish. I will say that ever since I started wearing glasses, my glasses get foundation smears on them where my glasses hit my cheekbones but mine are kind of high. It doesn't lasts the best under nose pads and under the rims of glasses even with powder. Aside from that, it does what it says, matches my skin tone great, and cant be beat for that $6. :D.
The eco tools domed bronzer brush is so good for liquid foundation and powder please please try it out everyone needs this brush! So huge and dense I love it

I used to really like this foundation but I totally agree that once your oils mix with it, it comes off if you touch your face. My friend with dry skin tried it and after wearing it multiple days in a row, the ingredients really dried out her skin

As a regular wearer of this foundation, I wanted to say, I have combination skin and I have used this elf foundation for the last 2 years and I do have issues with acne on a regular basis. It is NOT full coverage by any means but to runs errands or just to go to work (i.e. short days nothing fancy) it's a great foundation. it has definitely helped my skin stay clear over the years. I've recently in the last 2 months stopped using it because I ran out and switched to a different drug store brand my face has been breaking out like crazy. >_< I would definitely say for oily skin like Cassie though this foundation would not last at all. But like she said for $6 it's worth it, especially just for a grab and go kind of foundation. My biggest beef with it is that it's never in stores with other elf products here where I am in TX, I always have to order it online, which is why I've started trying different cheap foundations.

It was the $1000 moisturizer and new hourglass stick foundation review. It was subtle but I definitely picked up on it, you're the only UA-camr I've seen do a glasses test.

ahhhhh I swear sometimes Cassie can read my mind lol my maybelline foundation stick is almost done I was binge watching all her drugstore foundation reviews on the hunt for a new one and I was considering this one cause I don't want to spend 35-50$ at Sephora for something (I only wear foundation rarely) Cassie is the only reviewer I trust so thanks for this

So glad you did a review on this since I've been using this foundation for over 2 years and haven't switched since. Very rare for me to break out severely so there's a small blemish now and then unless I try out another product and my skin freaks out. A translucent powder helps it last longer but I do like the dewy finish. I will say that ever since I started wearing glasses, my glasses get foundation smears on them where my glasses hit my cheekbones but mine are kind of high. It doesn't lasts the best under nose pads and under the rims of glasses even with powder. Aside from that, it does what it says, matches my skin tone great, and cant be beat for that $6. :D.
The eco tools domed bronzer brush is so good for liquid foundation and powder please please try it out everyone needs this brush! So huge and dense I love it

I used to really like this foundation but I totally agree that once your oils mix with it, it comes off if you touch your face. My friend with dry skin tried it and after wearing it multiple days in a row, the ingredients really dried out her skin

Cassie! I think you should try the ELF foundation sticks because it's supposed to be a dupe for the MUFE foundation sticks. I happen to like them and I have combo skin also. I just love watching videos for your opinion (:

As a regular wearer of this foundation, I wanted to say, I have combination skin and I have used this elf foundation for the last 2 years and I do have issues with acne on a regular basis. It is NOT full coverage by any means but to runs errands or just to go to work (i.e. short days nothing fancy) it's a great foundation. it has definitely helped my skin stay clear over the years. I've recently in the last 2 months stopped using it because I ran out and switched to a different drug store brand my face has been breaking out like crazy. >_< I would definitely say for oily skin like Cassie though this foundation would not last at all. But like she said for $6 it's worth it, especially just for a grab and go kind of foundation. My biggest beef with it is that it's never in stores with other elf products here where I am in TX, I always have to order it online, which is why I've started trying different cheap foundations.

We have such similar skin conditions and issues that you have been my go to here on youtube and I have been enjoying your channels honesty and originality. It was the $1000 moisturizer and new hourglass stick foundation review. It was subtle but I definitely picked up on it, you're the only UA-camr I've seen do a glasses test.
