    Hey Dr David, can you please tell me how long will the botox induced eyelid drooping take to recover to normal? Please, how many days or weeks?

    • @drdavidisaacs

      depends on which neurotoxin was injected, but usually takes 3 months to wear off. daxxify takes longer to wear off.

    This has happened to me. Nurse aesthetic gave 2 injections of Botox 2 weeks apart the second time was a review but they injected more and that's when the ptosis started. Did this client get better eye lid opening fully after 3-4 months?

      I tried it too. My eyebrows dropped so much that they went under the brow bone and cause saggy eyelids and sad/tired eyes. It lasted for 5 freakin months. It was during summer. I didn't go out. I went to work and home. I felt so ugly 😭 and got depressed.
      I don't know what these idiots are doing that it happens like this?

      @@bibinek9950it’s not the injectors fault. It happens to older clients and i’m going to assume u are over 50? It has to do with older clients anatomy as older people tend to raise their brows at rest to compensate for the heavy hooded eyelids. when the forehead is injected, it relaxes and ur brows go back to where they were. It’s actually just ur brows were put back to their anatomical place and ur not used to it and u have hooded lids to begin with. am I right? 🤔

    Could you also develop a constricted pupil from Botox?

    • @drdavidisaacs
      @drdavidisaacs  Рік тому

      There have been case reports of pupillary dilation or tonic pupil, but these are infrequent/rare. More importantly, you'd want to rule out other issues like a Horner's syndrome if you see a constricted pupil.

    IS this from injecting too low on the frontalis? or to lateral on the corrugator?

    • @drdavidisaacs
      @drdavidisaacs  2 роки тому +2

      I don't know why this happened in this patient as I was not the injector, but generally 2 of the many reasons it can happen is if inject too lateral on corrugator and too close to the brow.

I read one article about this vloger who had experience eye drooping after Botox and she consulted with a dermatologist and the nurse practitioner performed 2 units of Botox in her eyelash line, and that’s the reason I asked for people who wants a fast relief from Botox botched eye drooping.

      @@jovelynmartin8820 I do a lot of those kinds of injections for patients with blepharospasm, and yes it does lift the eyelid up, but it also weakens the ability of your eye to close. So there's a bit of an issue and risk there because you can then end up with an eyelid that doesn't fully open or close. You (and all patients) really need an in-person exam.
