There's so many things in the Sonic universe that had a lot of potential but were left forgotten, really wish they would bring Dark Sonic, Hyper Sonic and Mephiles back at some point

I mean technically there was Dark Spine Sonic. Secret Rings was a dumb game but man was that design cool.

Just thought I'd comment this here.
Many people mistakingly assume that this form was only powered by Sonic's anger. But need I remind you, that in the previous scene, he stumbled across tons of fake Emeralds (neat callback to SA2) that the Metarex made, and commented that suddenly he didn't feel so good.
Those evil emeralds powered this transformation.
On that note I don't think Sonic would ever act that angrily out of his own will normally, as Sonic is a pretty benevolent guy, again it was the dark influence of the Metarex's Emeralds
So if sonic took the negative energy from the chaos emeralds. What would happen?
@@angryboi595 you mean the real Emeralds? Maybe something really similar, maybe he's black, maybe he's still gold like Mecha Sonic or Fleetway, maybe it transforms his body like Chaos or Gemerl, or does something like Emperator Ix from Chronicles
But we'll never find out cause he'd never use the negative energy willingly lol
In the canon games the only times he used negative energy was when the World Rings of Hatred Rage and Sadness turned him into Darkspine or some of Dark Gaia went into him and turned him into the Werehog, but both of those were forced into him unwillingly
Imagine this is Sonic's Form when he and Light Gaia are going to beat Perfect Dark Gaia...

Sonic X wasn’t canon though. I mean...depends. It’s PARTIALLY canon, some bits were, some weren’t. None of the cartoons were canon so I doubt X was.

I love how when I was playing the Spyro games and Spyro got his dark form that I instantly thought of dark Sonic. With dark spyro I was able to see faint pupils in rare instances, but if I remember correctly it was normally like dark Sonic's pupiless white eyes a majority of the time. 💫
Mice showcase, Velcomia. Those are some interesting looks of the Dark Sonic Mods for each of those games. Really good at what they did on the Dark Sonic Mod for each game. Now we can see Sonic's other side when you piss him off or anger him by harming those around him!
Nice. Dark Sonic is my favourite Sonic Form and it looks better than Hyper in my opinion.

Sega should make this form cannon it only appeared in one sonic cartoon and lasted for at least 15 seconds or less and it is still to this day a fan favorite
This form could come back along with Hyper Sonic if they remember that Chaos Emeralds have negative energy and positive energy
Negative = Dark Sonic
Negative + Positive = Hyper (If they don't want to bring back Super Emeralds this can replace that)
That's not how it works.
Emeralds transform thoughts in power, positive ones mean positive power and the same applies to negative thoughts.
And... Well, Sonic being Sonic is far from negative thoughts when using the emeralds.
And even if somehow he gets to transform he would be even weaker than the werehog, because we've seen that negative energy is nothing compared to the positive one.

Shredding those *two* bots? Earlier the same _base_ Sonic destroyed hundreds as nothing.
Now, we have Sonic X characters, that are already far from their game counterpart's power.. that plus:
-The original Emeralds are nerfed to the ground too.
-The fake emeralds are _Even weaker._
-Negative energy gets overpowered by the positive...
Now take that to the games and... Nothing changed really, he would still be weak AF and hell, even the werehog proves to have a lot more physical strength, enough to beat up enemies far bigger than himself.

Again the original comment was just a suggestion on how they can make those 2 Super forms return cuz why is Super the only Sonic transformation that appears in more than one game? (As far as I know)
The only part I can't agree on is Negative Chaos energy being weaker than Werehog
The only improvement I can see is brute strength and stretchy arms

About the original comment, there could be a little chance that we have an official Dark sonic (No, not darkspine Sonic) already, but its just a theory.
As i said earlier, the Werehog had showed more feats than dark Sonic, that and the little... Equation? I did up there about Dark's power based on the knowledge we have about the emeralds :/
Image if Dark Sonic was a Canon form, it would probably be pretty crazy. In the games and comics there were many times Sonic was angry beyond relief and those could have been the perfect opportunity to introduce Dark Sonic.

Knowing that Sonic Prime is all about Sonicverse, it's very likely that EVERYTHING will show up, like Scourge, Fleetway Super Sonic, Sonic's brothers (Manic and Sonia), as so as all the Sonic from there games (since it's confirm that, each Sonic is there own Sonic, for example: *SA Sonic and SA2 Sonic* are 1 Sonic but, *Secret Rings Sonic* and *Black Knight Sonic* are a *different kind of Sonic* ), and maybe... Just maybe... They will make Dark Sonic Canon... Even if they have to change his design...

Either way I wish he could get more attention from Sega. He sounds like a very powerful form that probably may not be controllable at first. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy the entire Sonic franchise, there's just some characters or forms that I wish would come back.

I wish really Sonic Lost World mods would be better, because every single one I see is just a model swap and not very oftenly, a voice swamp as well. Every single one I see still has a blue trail and no abilities. Hopefully Lost World mods improve.
