  • We visit an Armenian Village Home (and family) in Gui, Armavir Province; approximately 22 kms southwest of Yerevan.
    HERB production and tour of the property: We take a tour of their house and 2 Greenhouses on the property and another 2 on a separate piece of land, where they also have some Fruit trees and a Tandoor oven. Edgar demonstrates his ride-on plough/home made cart, while Nara shows us a cellar of preserves and dried lavash.
    VODKA & WINE production: We're taken to a neighbouring house, where they make home made Vodka and Wine and sample some of the produce! They've also made a home-built sports car, which has taken 7 years to build so far.
    LAVASH production: Then we're shown the neighbour's Lavash and Bread making facility under their house and witness the process of Lavash making.
    FOOD: Finally, we sit down with the family and enjoy a traditional home-cooked chicken and potato meal, with plenty of herbs, preserves, lavash, bread and wine on the table.

    As always Mitch, great work, next time will visit them together.
    Just happened that I remember this old quote that applies to you or I think that applies to you for some reason...
    "If I am not for myself, who will be for me? And being only for myself, what am I? And if not now, when?"
    Be safe Brother...

    Very nice you also tell us about land price... Thank you for lovely video 😊

    • @ArmenianLifewithMitch
      @ArmenianLifewithMitch  2 роки тому +1

      ...thanks for the question, but land prices vary so much upon location. Obviously, in quiet villages the price of land is much much cheaper than nearer to Yerevan. However, non Armenians can't buy land alone, but you CAN buy a house with land attached.

    Another amazing video from Armenia!
    I wonder if a few solar panels in sunny Armenia won’t help them replace that gas furnace and save some money.

    • @ArmenianLifewithMitch
      @ArmenianLifewithMitch  2 роки тому +1

      @raffi art...you're absolutely right, though the cold winter is notoriously cloudy for about 4 months...the sun barely comes out. However, it would be great if an expert on solar/alternative energy would come to these villages and give some talks about new technologies and water management. We live in hope🙏

      @songs2803...My wife and I became so close to this family, we became part of it. It's a mutual relationship where they view us as parents (father lost his biological father at a young age) and grandparents. They were sent to us by God🙏

      @Oscar Bel....hi Oscar and thanks for your inspiring comment. It's great to hear of your desire to come back to your homeland. Actually, I was recently contacted by another Armenian (British citizen living in Mexico) who is repatriating to Armenia very soon. She also works online, so it makes the move far more easy.
      Yes, of course you can contact me...just click on my Channel Icon, then go to About...then Business Email. I look forward to hearing from you.
      Stay safe and God bless you and your family. 🙏
