I've been looking for footage of arizona stores that have closed, not many exist. None for Glendale, none for East Mesa for a while, none for the two phoenix locations (warner & e bell). I'm glad this exists though!
This location was where I had my 9th birthday party at 20 years ago (as of writing this comment) and the location where we went to the most as kids. It opened at the end of 2003. It is now a Dozer’s Grill pool hall and bar. It was a temporary Spirit Halloween in the fall of 2023. It also shortly after being shut down had a consignment event going on.
I still remember getting REALLY sick from this place, my last visit to a CEC for like 5 years. A lot of the games were either broken or ate your token. The pizza was fucking disgusting like genuinely. All I got was some shitty eraser after suffering for hours at this place. However, the artwork is so sigma and I heard the staff were nice. What's to blame? The ownership. Melvin cared about quantity over quality, and many AZ stores suffered (minus Phoenix North and Yuma). I heard somewhere they closed due to a roach infestation but idk if that's true. It was a Spirit Halloween after Kmart got demolished, and is now occupied by a grill I forgot the name of.
In that case it’s good the Arizona stores are owned by corporate now, maybe if this one stuck around a few more years it could of gotten a needed glow up
@@TheMemeMaster2011 Corp buying the AZ stores was the best thing to happen, even if they were all remodeled. It's better to have a nice 2.0 than a sketchy phase 4 with good art.
@ChuckEEntertainment Maybe you could post those clips in a compilation of billings Montana or something, they are lost media other than Chuck E. Montana himself, (maybe) You are the only person that has these clips, they may be minor,but its still lost media

Ultimately it closed due to leasing. Although other reasons are why it wasn't extended are also to blame

Most AZ stores were franchises
All the Arizona stores till 2022 (minus phoenix north and yuma) were franchises, and since this store was around until 2018, it was franchised
