Thank you for posting these. I’m really enjoying rewatching these episodes. They have aged remarkably well, and IMO are much better than a lot for what’s streaming and on TV nowadays.
The fact such an excellent show was cancelled in only the fourth season while still very strong in ratings just goes to show that "management" not having a clue is as perennial as the grass.
Word is that this was the last show that was made. Although it aired before "Up and Down Aisle" the last episode that aired in the original series. I read that the cast was all dressed up afterwards and had one last celebration together
Ms. Anderson wanted a lot more money. They paid her. She continued in her role till the end of the run. 40 years later, we still laugh and are amazed at how the whole thing comes together. Everybody connected with this, on and off screen, were exceptional, but she was a pivot point for the characters. Something special is always worth more than we think at the time.
Haven't ALL of them screwed up multiple times in varying degrees? Even Jennifer. And hasn't Herb been providing the bulk of ad revenue all these years in spite of his mistakes? If Carlson fires him, he should fire himself since 80% of what he does is play with trains and fishing equipment! But I do love how Jennifer went to bat for Herb!😍
The start of this episode is amazing, the whole episode is great but the first few minutes is some of the funniest tv i have ever seen. Wkrp is the best series ever on tv. Thanks for all the memories and entertaining moments this has given me in my life and still continues to do
Now you folks tell me, after watching this episode did Seinfeld miss the boat by not keeping Gordon Jump on for a while as George's boss or not? Seinfeld was a show that didn't make many mistakes, but they really could have gotten a lot more "mileage" out of that character and he was MUCH funnier than the guy from the industrial smoothing outfit.
Lori is beautiful. The reason for so much hairspray was probably because her hair was thin. After using hot rollers and blow drying her hair, it was styled and sprayed to _stay_ _in_ _place_ .
They might have solved the problem if they could have placed a caption on the posters that read: "If you don't want to be like THIS guy then try-" [I don't remember the product name]...or something to that effect. I'm not the most creative or perfect person at times, but I can usually handle "damage control"-probably because I've had a lot of practice in the past.lol!
Actually, go to 0:24 and you'll see Johnny. A few seconds later and it's Venus, but behind the entering salesman, you can make out another portrait which is probably the first picture (Johnny). I think at the end when you only see Fever's picture, it's due to the angle. At 0:43, you can see both
He was fantastic in this episode. He’s been in MASH, and a lot of other classic shows. The way he handled Herb was priceless. Tom was the blinded soldier in MASH, who runs into Hawkeye when he was temporarily blinded from a stove accident.
The Eighties was a time when we had gotten over our racist past. It took political correctness and th Obama years to make us remember that we must pick at the scars of long healed wounds until they became scabs again. WKRP is a time capsule Edit: Let us never forget how George Washington evoked Cinninatus after his second term as president.
Despite how she always acted around others, I've always suspected that Jennifer secretly liked Herb very much. It's evident in the dating episode, the Christmas episode, the elevator episode and this.
My older sister used a can of hairspray on her hair like Loni ...it was the style then. They ratted hair high, flipped up the ends and sprayed. There hair was really stiff...the wind didn't mess up their hair
Not exactly, the target audience was Venus', not the other DJs. Back in those days, the DJs had a lot of free reign in music choices, as long as they played something off the hit list ever hour or so.
WKRP In Cincinnati...is truly one of my favorite all time classics...& I miss this Show
One of my all time classics as well. 📺
I'm enjoying watching all of these great shows .It's great to laugh so much again. 🎙🎶
You can buy the complete series on dvd for about $50 on Amazon...
It's still here and on anytime you want to watch it
It was definitely one of a kind. ❤❤❤
one of the best comedy shows eevvver...
Oh, man...just hearing the theme song makes me smile!
The casting here was perfect! And we cared about every single one of them, even Herb.
"You've got to stop using that stuff RIGHT AWAY." 🤣
❤️🤍💙🇺🇸
That theme is so nostalgic. I loved this show.
I sang the song to myself when I visited Cincinnati in 1996 ❤❤❤
OMG!!!!!!! just watched this it is hilarious...im 48 and enjoyed this as a child......i loved it

Venuses reaction: PRICELESS
Timeless, extraordinarily timeless.
The fact such an excellent show was cancelled in only the fourth season while still very strong in ratings just goes to show that "management" not having a clue is as perennial as the grass.
WKRP, this show reminds me of the first radio station I was a DJ at, right down to the gorgeous receptionist! Good God Herb was an IDIOT.😛
Taking company money and doing the photo shoot yourself is not just incompetent ... it's fraud!
Herb's face at 1:39 always cracks me up. That is the face of a man who knows he done goofed.

I guess they learned from what happened with suzanne somers and Farrah fawcett, blondes rule!
Loni Anderson...
One of the most beautiful women in the world.
Yeah, that's true...but I for one would take Bailey over Jennifer every time!
@@canuck_gamer3359 My brother said the same thing for years...lol...I can definitely see why .
Your reply took me back and I appreciate that ! 💿
Bailey for management! I work in radio and we have a co-worker just like Herb, albeit 1,200 miles away that we're still saddled to.

The receptionist scene is taken from _All the President's Men._
Love that part where Sullivan says "Who is it?" and Jennifer looks down at the seeing eye dog.
My favorite episode Jennifer learned her looks don’t always work.
One of Herb Tarlek's best/worst episodes. RIP Frank Bonner.
??
What a great character. RIP
"Oh, that's sweet. Get out."
Jennifer's hair always looked like an over hair sprayed blond helmet.
You sound like you're bitching to Patrice, your stylist ...
always good to see Tom Sullivan

"He's not blind." LOVE THAT LINE!
OMG this is hilarious 😂
Where’s the dog, LOL
The best episode I've ever seen!
Always loved this show @
24:20 The "my work here is done" nod from Jennifer!
I was in my teens when this show was on the air. This weirdness kept me sane!
That hair. How much
Aquanet did they use.
Lori is beautiful.
The reason for so much hairspray was probably because her hair was thin.

LOL, good idea.
That's just brilliant.
Excellent 👍!!
And they probably should've at least called Herb b4 printing the posters if 99% of the film roll was a black dude.
" you're washed up as a black man"
Finest acting by Bonner! Facial expressions in opening scenes are fantastic.
This show always delivered the laughs. Great characters and cast backed up with excellent scripts.
AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!
🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃

Baby, if you ever wondered...
To this day I laugh at that perfect transition
No you don't.
I laughed so much and hard ,,, i cried, priceless!!!!!!
Who notices that the picture in the entry changes from Venus to Johnny?
Actually, go to 0:24 and you'll see Johnny. A few seconds later and it's Venus, but behind the entering salesman, you can make out another portrait which is probably the first picture (Johnny). I think at the end when you only see Fever's picture, it's due to the angle. At 0:43, you can see both
That guy is blind in real life. I hate when they use people who can see to play blind roles.
Jennifer is wearing my favorite color! ❤🎉 I love her clothes.
Saw Tom Sullivan in Highway to Heaven - Season 4, Episode 8: All the Colors of the Heart
That’s not all he’s done, he’s been in knight rider, mash, Morley and mindy to name a few
He appeared in mork and mindy
Tom Sullivan playing Mr Sherman....from If you could see what I hear movie!
Hes the chracter in the movie the part was plates by Marc singer
He was fantastic in this episode. He’s been in MASH, and a lot of other classic shows. The way he handled Herb was priceless.
Tom was the blinded soldier in MASH, who runs into Hawkeye when he was temporarily blinded from a stove accident.
Min15 "it was my pleasure" I will use this😂
That will be all Bueler. Young Frankenstein.
That old lady was the one from Uncle Buck, wasn't she? I am talking about the wart lady from the school. The one that Buck chastised.
Nope. The wart lady from Uncle Buck didn't have brown eyes. Or that voice pattern
Not her. Though they resemble, it isn’t her.
When Venus sees 👀 it
Then there's the ring tone!!!! The last 12 years!!!!!
Very happy to see this online. Just enjoyed the full weekend marathon on Decades network. But it stopped two episodes short of the ending. What?
The Eighties was a time when we had gotten over our racist past. It took political correctness and th Obama years to make us remember that we must pick at the scars of long healed wounds until they became scabs again.

0:04 That helmet hairdo is something else. lol
Wait if he can’t see, how did he know Herb did the thing with his mouth and fingers?
By the sound it made when he spoke. Probably something dumb people do when someone is blind
The blind are super~sensitive to sound. He knew what Herb did just from the sound.
A person may be blind, but they are _not_ dumb .
@@wisdomseeker3362 don’t think anyone’s hearing is good enough to hear a finger being pointed at them
@@BiorythymHe probably figured Herb was the kind of guy to do that, and lucked out when he did do it.
A two hour meeting with Les Nessman about the Metric System. Wow. I love Bailey, but Jennifer runs this station.
Despite how she always acted around others, I've always suspected that Jennifer secretly liked Herb very much. It's evident in the dating episode, the Christmas episode, the elevator episode and this.
Is that the one time Jennifer said "yes, sir" to Carlson?
How I miss these people. 😪❤
I knew that guy looked familiar..Tom Sullivan.
I just seen an episode of Mork and Mindy.
Not you didn't.
After everything, Jennifer likes Herb 😛
My favourite intro song ever.
How come the bottom of the screen is cut off?
So it will not be taken off youtube
Sooo funny:)
OK I lied. Its been only 5 years. 😀
Her hair looked like a wig. It was from all of that hairspray.
The desk wouldn’t be empty long. Fire him.
I know Loni was the it girl of the day but looking at her hair from a 2023 perspective don't you find her hair a little creepy...🤔🧐

Last episode taped.
It's a waste of money advertising "soul" shampoo to an audience listening to Huey Lewis.
Not exactly, the target audience was Venus', not the other DJs. Back in those days, the DJs had a lot of free reign in music choices, as long as they played something off the hit list ever hour or so.
Nobody who was black bought the single "Do You Believe in Love"?
Need all kids to see it- ! And some stupid adults...
We🤣😂😂😂
Look at Jennifer’s hair
Loved Bailey. Hot, hot, hot.
Bailey quarters was so hot ❤❤❤
That guy's blind-as-a-bat
No he's not.
I hate the "the right is the racist" propaganda in this episode. Such crap from Hollywood.
What? Lol
that's where the indoctrination started
But the right is much more vocal about their racism.
Put down the pipe.
@@randyproby215 No it isn't.
Shouldn’t Jennifer have said that Herb couldn’t find work within the state, let alone the city?
Love this show so much it's hilarious
No it's not.
@@scarygary-qq1pj let me guess you must be real young 🤣
