Brown became captain when I was four years old and started going to hockey games with my dad. He has brought so much joy into my life as a Kings fan and will never be forgot. What he has done for this team makes it so when I am asked who is my hockey team I can say the LA Kings with pride and honor. Thank you Dustin we will miss you
Against the Yotes in the 2012 playoffs, the amount of punishment they heaped on him was incredible. I've never seen a player get beat up as much as he was. What a warrior!!!!
He was an absolute monster in that series, he had a look in his eye that like he didn't care if he left the game in a body bag he was going to do what he needed, he was willing to play the Villain and the Yotes HATED him...
I've loved Dustin's play. Greatest Captain in Kings history and I got to watch the whole thing happen. I'd love to see him win another cup before he retires.
Now his jersey number will be retired and a statue to go along with it. Well deserved. He's meant so much to the organization both on and off the ice. Cain't wait to be in attendance for it.🥲
Dylan Cheese At the beginning of the season he got hit by a Montreal canadiens player and he got cut in the back of the leg by a skate, and I’m not sure where he got specifically cut in the leg but he was definitely injured.
Kopitar is an amazing captain too. And last time I checked, Brown is still on the roster and still a leader on the team. If the Kings really are "too soft now" like you'd suggest.... it's not because Kopitar is captain instead of Brown. You can still play physically and set the tone and encourage your teammates to do the same as an "A".
@@DrBeerGames Brown is not an alternate captain and the Kings were one of the most hated teams to play for the reason of physicality. Opponents were known to comment they hated playing the Kings for that reason. Although we don't know what has been said in the locker room, you can almost trace it to when Kopi became captain. Love Kopitar but we need to be more physical in my opinion.
@@DrBeerGames Kopitar always keeps his mouth shut when he is on the ice, like he is afraid to talk to the officials, pus captain= pus results. Brown>Kopitar as captain
Hockey Bros Universe at least we’re still ahead of you even though we’re both at 57 points in the standings but we still have more wins and less losses. How’s Ryan GetzLAUGH doing???
I hope he retires a King, and his number is retired. He has earned it.
He is :’)
Here we go baby!
Well.. 4 damn years later
He damn well earned every bit of it.
Captain...always my captain

Heart & Soul of our beloved kings. The hit on sedin started our cup run ! And will always be remembered
I think you meant Sedin, but you're definitely right!

Favorite player since a baby
Brown the heart and soul of the Kings. One more Stanley Cup Brownie!!!
Nice pace to it!
please Hockey Gods, let the Kings at least make the playoffs this year! 🙏
stripped him of captaincy just because you had a superstar player ... way to go
proud to be there at the game, the game was frustrating though
Great player and checking and can fight to and amazing leader even tho sometimes dose cheap shops but love him on the kings
Not cheap when it's a legal hit. He didn't get called for a penalty on many of his hits. If he did it's usually a bad call.

Atta way Brownie!
I must say, Brown is a big guy, so I mean, heck yeah go around runnin' into things!

Never should have been removed from captain. Kings are too soft now.

Hockey Bros Universe at least we’re still ahead of you even though we’re both at 57 points in the standings but we still have more wins and less losses. How’s Ryan GetzLAUGH doing???
Zilln using your logic, Corey Perry should’ve been suspended too for his dirty hit on Kris Letang LMAO
I hope he retires as a oiler, he derserved it, welcome to oiler country 🥇🏆
FAL Z ELITE what the hell are you talking about.
Wtf, are you watching the right video? And BTW its oil country, not oiler country
Kings are not the oilers dumbass
I was joking around XD jeez chill out boys!
FAL Z ELITE brown doesn’t deserve to retire on such a shitty team though 😂😂😂
