i wonder if any Believer of Christ has actually moved a mountain, lol. (Since the prophet's time.) I do not DOUBT the possibility however moving a mountain must serve the WILL of God. ..for what is a mountain before a servant of God! We can move "mountains" daily through God! Thank You Jesus, Thank You!
I took the verse of moving mountains literally and asked God if he could please send a lightening strike to bring down a tree in my back garden. I repeated my request a few times but nothing happened except that two days later a man knocked on my door and said 'I noticed a large tree in your yard and I will cut it down for free if I can keep the wood' - and so he did. Hope that helps.
Good insight but I believe he is adjusting his interpretation of the Bible to suit his or other's experience, as many of us do. We should align our experience with the Truth rather than the other way around. If we don't see healing when we pray, pray and do it again. Command the infirmity to go away in Jesus name. Practice until you see breakthrough.
Charismatic say this means we can heal people now greater than Christ did. If that's true, why aren't all the Word Faith preachers in every hospital healing people??? Dr. Stanley is right in this.
I disagree. I think He legitimately meant actual miracles that would be done. This is totally a Western idea of this Scripture. I think the global church needs to start learning from the entire body of Christ, not just the American and European church.
Agreed. Jesus was making a direct reference to His "works" (miracles). He didn't "make" anyone follow him. He did tell several to do so. But they could have refused if they had chosen to. He was a human carpenter. A MAKER/repairer of things. Every existence of his corporal presence was a living expression of "how". He "teached" in telling and in living (and dieing and rising again). He is Emanuel (God WITH us). What did he DO while with us? More miracles than human expression is capable of listing. We are His Image. "Imag(e) ine" that. He IS the w-o-r-d. He didn't make editing mistakes or speak out of hand or turn. Now, I have not reattached an ear, raised the dead, healed the sick, or killed a fig tree. And I absolutely have no faith in "healing services" what so ever. I struggle with the "evidence/lack of and logic" every day. But, that's my cross to bear (faith). But, I believe we are to be DOing what He did and greater. As He said to do.
God will grant miracles if He can get the glory for it. I believe that. But He has to be the one to do it. The Father answers the prayer of the Son because the Son does the will of the Father. We are witnesses of His grace and power. What He allows us to see and testify of is the display and manifestation of His amazing grace. It’s all grace so we need to be careful that we are not elevating ourselves above His calling for our lives. We know nothing but what He reveals wrought in the truth in our lives. Being fruitful is the best thing and not miracles.
In Titus 2 v 13, Jesus is referred to as the great God. John 1 v 1. In the beginning was the Word (a designation of Christ). And the Word was WITH God and the Word WAS God. John 1 v 3..All things were made by Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made.
Proof that Jesus is the Son and not the Father You cant do greater works than God so by default Jesus is not God. Jesus was no Good Only God was good and worked through his Son Jesus.
"I BELIEVE, JESUS!!!"
KNOW*
greater works can be miracles and preaching the kingdom that's what he told us
Amen

Okay so what's a greater miracle than raising the dead etc, that you'd like to see your fellow church members perform?
