    Split a green stick longways but only about 90% of the way, and wedge a twig in it to pry it open. Instant tongs!

    Love your positive attitude Spencer .. and your sarcasm .. you not like every one else you show em all , the good the bad , the bloopers , and everything in between .. reality .. you may not always catch a giant , but that's the way it goes . That's why they call it fishing and not catching .

    Hey Spencer, have you ever done a video on detailing your gear you bring with you for overnight fishing or several day fishing adventure? AKA cots, sleeping blankets, camp stoves, food, clothing, and possibly even your camera equipment n batteries n such n how to charge them on the river. I'm asking because I can tell you have it together pretty well and I have never attempted something like that but I want to kayak my local river for possibly several days in a row and making a video of it for my channel.

    Spencer, I fish out of a boat similar to yours. Mine has a tunnel hull. I use to run a 4 stroke 40 Yamaha with the jet drive lower unit. The motor lost about 20% hp so I upgraded to a 75 mercury 2stroke with jet drive. This time I installed a jack plate. I can run in just inches of water. If I had to give you any advice it would be...Bring a big screwdriver with you and most important of all...don’t get your expectations up about the jet drive.

    • @RiverCertified
      @RiverCertified  3 роки тому +1

      I appreciate the advice. Why the big screw driver? I did get a Jet Medic Tool. Looked handy.

      @@RiverCertified It’s to dig out rocks out the screen under the impeller. Darn thing always getting clogged. Stay away from any floating grass, Lily’s, shallow hydrilla grass. Most important of all is learn how to mic your impeller. If this isn’t done correctly your “wear ring” will be worn out extremely fast. Feel free to ask me anything about it.

But your vids inspired me to get some stouter gear and try this for flats... Seems the log jams look about the same in size and frequency, so I think I'd have a very reasonable chance to see the same results... looks like a HUGE blast...thanks for the inspiration

    Spencer, you lost me on the part about " Once the Sun sets the current moves different, with more meaning, almost as if it`s flowing with a purpose. ". That was so deep, I needed chest waders. You need Denny along to short circuit these spells of deep thoughts and to focus more on who will catch the big fish of the trip. There is nothing like competition, pride, and bragging rights to drag you back into the shallow end of the pool of life. Of course I am joking just in case there was any doubt. Great video as always.

    Awesome Boat , I Had A Jet Foot On A 150 , it did great in The Rivers and creeks , But,, open waters ,Big Waters , I Had Serious Issues When The Conditions Got Choppy , The Bigger The swells , It Pulled More Air Than Water That was Simply Just Because Of the design , We Had A Water Tunnel Cut And Welded Back Up Into The Bottom Of The Boat To Channel The Water Up To The Jetfoot ,It Helped Alot But We Finally Just Used Something Else with A Convenional Prop When Patrolling Open Bays And Lake Systems , It was A 17 ft all weld heavy Guage aluminum boat wide bottom , I mean fantastic , But Heavy, Once I got it Trimmed up on plane it would run in 3 Inches of Water ,
    The Channel We had Welded In Was About 3 inches Deep On Bottom of the Transom ,it ran Forward At a Sloping Angle for about 30 inches until it leveled back out with the Bottom of the boat , it was about 16 Inches wide as well ,once we did that it would channel the water up to the jet foot , made a huge difference in how it Ran ,,
    Nit a thing wrong with eating a Flathead catfish from time to time , that kinda like Largemouth Bass, some people. Have a stroke at the sight of one on a stringer lol,, but,,, o well 🤷🏻‍♂️, I'll call 911 for em lol 🤣🤣🤣, I like a few , I kept 9 Bass a couple weeks ago I caught , biggest about 3 pounds , I likely Would have Released that fish ,but he Absolutely Engulfed The Crazy Rigged Worm and was bleeding Pretty bad ,so I would rather have him for Dinner than let the turtles have him , the rest was just really good yearling bass ,I hit em just right during a Little light Rain I got soaked but , it was Worth it lol 🤣🤣, ya had another Good Outing , And Some Excellent Fillets , Lotsa Luck With The New Boat , Keep It Reelin 🦈🎣👀😋 That's Dinner Right There Y'all lol 😁

I've seen guys run them in the backwater bayous down here in Louisiana where there's lots of trees in the water and they can go places a prop boat can only dream of going.
