Excuse me while I get out my soapbox. I owned a hipoint c9, paid $130 out the door including 50 rounds of blazer brass 9mm. I took that pistol to the range every weekend with other guns and would run 100rd winchester white boxes through it every session(back when 9mm was dirt cheap) I had easily over 10,000 rounds through it without a single hiccup. I also never disassembled it or cleaned it the entire time I owned it. Years down the road I sold it to a buddy for $50, he gave it its first cleaning. The only reason I bought it was because it was so dirt cheap and I figured why not.
The Hightower's stock has an expandable mag well in hope that someone will develop a double to single stack mag. Maybe Redball will come through, probably not though. All owners of this stock should try modifying a glock mag or the mag catch to accept the mag. The feed angle is very similar on a glock mag and a hi point. Since glock mag is double to single there shouldn't be too much modification necessary. If I ever get a wild hair and buy this combo I will have to make it work. For now I am stuck with an AR9 pistol with a 8.5 inch barrel as my pistol caliber "pistol".
@@michaelmoody3737 They said THEY would produce one if the market called for it and the market has been screaming but the screams are landing on deaf HTA ears. I put mine back in the box and am back to the original stock.
@@ConcernedCitizen1957 that is sad. Do you know anyone with a metal working shop or a 3d printer? Or measure the expanded mag well and post them so others can start the development. It can't be that difficult to produce a decent double to single stack mag.
If Booligan can pull off a 1.5 or double stack mag for the Hi Point Carbine (even if this stock is required) it will be a game changer for many hi point owners. The chassis for this bull pup conversion looks good, definite visual improvement.
I worked at a shop with a range and a guy brought in a .40 Highpoint carbine and I test fired it while the manager worked on what we would pay for it. The thing was very accurate at 25 meters. I paid $110.00 for it and still love it.
I have the HTA bullpup for the Hi-Point 995TS, and I agree with everything you said about the magazine capacity. The HTA bullpup works with the 20 round Red Ball magazines, but they are single stack, so it sticks out from under the gun like a 30 rd would. Since it has hardly any recoil, and 9mm ammo is cheaper than almost everything, it's a decent choice for home defense, and will pair nicely with your 9mm pistol of choice.
Excellent PCC, pistol caliber carbine... My 995 prints 2" groups at 100 yds. Also Love my 1095 (shoots 40SW too) Both now live in HTA bullpup stocks and start conversations everywhere I go...
So what's funny is that really is their standard. Their whole ethos is to arm as many people as affordably as possible, and in that goal, they really do succeed. No frills. Just gun.

I'll admit, I haven't taken her out in a while since I got my Vector in 10mm but once I get low on 10mil ammo, she'll be out blastin' again! Awesome video dude, and congrats on the new piece. While I can't say it'll be your new favorite, I CAN say you'll love and appreciate it for what it is!
I've had a 45acp high point. Carbine for years I used for deer hunting. Zeros failures for getting it at a gun show for $195. The high tower kit looks cool might have to pick it up if it is a reliable bullpup kit....
I made my trigger way better. Everyone at the range actually like it. I swapped the spring for a 5 pound trigger and removed the 1/4" deadzone on the bullpup linkage and disabled the two trigger safety's on the stock and polished the trigger group. Now the trigger rides directly on the internal trigger with no deadzone and a light smooth trigger.

It's not about having/not having a good designer. It's about cost. HiPoint designs to a specific cost and function. Make it work, make it reliable, the rest is cheap as cheap can be..on purpose. Having a 'good industrial designer' would only increase the cost and then they'd be as expensive or more so than a lot of other PCC...which is not the point.
Gotta admit, they have stayed pretty true to their mission statement of making a gun for everyone. If they were complete garbage and not a functional firearm that works better than they ought to they wouldn't be around anymore.
That is surprisingly decent . I always wonder on polymer triggers if the old aug trigger job work to not make them lighter ,but smoother and more consistent. i thought i would never say this , that .... is a sexy highpoint
Really a missed opportunity that there's no mag storage in the pistol grip, considering the capacity.
Same for forward grip with mag storage.
It would be really cool if you could make the magazine double feed too.
I have this and it’s amazing.
Looking forward to that magazine...
That's one hi point I would buy
Maybe I missed the video, but is there any update on modifying improving this config?
This best model in 10mm but need conversation kit for Glock magazine for 10 mm
I'm really thinking about getting a 10mm carbine and doing this. I just have to find a local gun store where they don't know me before I buy a Hi-Point.😂
My first carbine was a hi-point and it literally blew apart after a few hundred rounds. Heat shield went first followed by the bolt and stock. It was pretty disappointing. The pistols aren't bad though. They're accurate and never had a problem firing one.
Sounds like u made a noob mistake and had hot as hell rounds in ur gun fam ever look into it like wtf caused it to blow apart?
Hi-Point carbines are known for being extremely overbuilt and difficult to damage let alone destroy… what did you do to it? Also, they that a 100% no questions asked warranty
Omg, I love that gun
If i was robbed by a man wielding a Hi-point i would give them all my money out of pity to go buy a better gun.
I bet you could dabble into printing press forms for sheet metal forming and make some mags from metal. Or at least the feed lips
The thing this bull pup kit did wrong was not design to hold Glock mags in the first place
Unfortunately, the base gun itself is what prevents that. The kit can’t change the fact that the receiver is only designed for a single stack mag.
Just brought my kit today, I was wondering if you ever got around to making the double stack mag? I definitely would purchase a few if so..great vid
Haven’t finalized it yet. The receiver design makes a straight double stack mag unviable, so it has to be a weird double to single stack setup that’s painfully tricky to design.
@booliganshootingsports Gotcha..well it's still a cool kit & was worth the effort..I seen a few vids where they tweak the feed lips on the 45 drum mag to fit 10mm cartridges..gnna try it once my kit arrives..thanks man.
Nice video
Ahh the ol Shyter Pog
Glad the stock dosent cost more than the firearm
the stock m-lok slot is most likely for qd mounts
Really cool look!
Looks badass!
2007 being old.... I don't know if I have an optic that new. I do have a revolver that was made after then, and I think a pistol. Hard to wrap my head around 07 being long ago enough to be "old."
HI point needs make their crude sledge hammer pistols in 10mm, would sell like crazy. Have seen some make mods to their 40s&w hi point pistol to run 10mm and can easily take it because is a blow back heavy steel pistol.
While it is apart, or being built, you can buy an aftermarket trigger, like an M carbo, or p[ossibly a different brand of accessory manufacturer (Longshot?)
this thing looks straight out of cyberpunk 2077
I got one for my 45 carbine. My main issues are mag based as well. The rounds seem to nose into the magazine, especially with the 40rd promag drum. The drum wont feed or interface with the mag catch.
thats an issue with the mag and not the gun I am told...IIRC using promag will void the warranty
This Carbine be looking suspiciously like BR18
I wonder if Hi Point though about making this in 30 Carbine?
Has more progress been made on this? I'm super stoked to see what you come up with 🙂.
Nothing solid yet, working with some complex geometry.
@@booliganshootingsports Ah, yeah That makes sense, especially making a gun run with a double stack mag that is made for a single. That'll be a challenge.
you could make a makarov style double stack, that'd make the feed lip geometry identical to the single stack.
10mm for $390msrp is kinda insane to think about.
And you NEVER find them for that much. I was out the door for under $350 on this one, full retail price/tax/etc
you should try building one of those 3d printed suppressors for it. Probably wont last but would be sick.
Not gonna waste a Form 1 on current printed suppressor tech 🤷♂️
@@booliganshootingsports That makes sense lol
Oh nice. Cool
hipoint: they are a gun
Y’all need to watch GarandThumbs HiPoint carbine video
then, with all due respect to GT, go watch Firydeth "Explanation of Garand Thumb's Hi Point Carbine Video" and see that while his gun did have a faulty striker / ejector that most of the other issues where us unfamiliarity to the gun
I'd buy a 3D printed double stack mag from you for my 45 that I just bought!! I've contacted High Tower about the magazine but haven't heard anything.
Can you please design some kind of flashlight holder for the HiPoint JHP45, something that will take 1 inch diameter flashlights. It has a proprietary rail and there isn't any choices for a light mount.
Do a trigger guard mounted light. Not ideal, but they work
1 mm better than 9mm.. ? Okay that's why they use 10mm to stop bears in Alaska but it's just 1 better than 9mm.... Geez" good review thought
I'm seeing this a year late. Is there any update on the double stack mods. ?
