I always love these fantasy floating world paintings.... You can just start painting and let the imagination run wild...
OH MAN!!! I LOVE THIS PAINTING! I am a musician and a big fan of a progressive rock band named YES and others like Asia etc. Their album covers were painted by an artist named Roger Dean. I am definitely going to attempt something similar to this painting. I’ve had a vision for years that has been sitting in the recesses of my mind but I was always apprehensive to ma try. You really opened my eyes as to how it can be done. I always learn something new from you and my confidence always gets a boost. Thank you so much for all that you do. The painting is magnificent!
I love how you show how to make a tiny little “oops” into a beautiful “ahhh”. When you added a little too much blue to the mountain you simply showed how to remove it and made it a beautiful mountain. To an inexperienced beginner like me, that is huge! You do that a lot and that is one of the many, many reasons I love you. Your instructions are easy to follow and you don’t edit out anything showing that even the masters have to fix little oops. That gives me so much encouragement.

Hey Joni! 4:30 , where you start talking about how we should take a second and remember why we are painting is really what I needed to hear. Sometimes I have breakdowns because I just cannot get it how I want it (I am 12😅.) When ever I feel like I need to hear someone say “keep going” I automatically think of you. U r so inspiring!! Thank u for what u do, even if it’s painting online ❤❤
aawww bless you, don't worry i have breakdowns about mine too and im 39 lol, joni is so free with her paintings and makes it look so easy, where as i have to pencil draw EVERYTHING first before brush even touch's the paper 😂
Joni seems to understand and she does not put on any airs and can communicate and relate to anyone. She does not try to act like a queen which is what makes her the queen.

It looks beautiful when you do it but living in a warm climate here in Queensland Australia the paint dries instantly as soon as it hits the canvas, even after wetting the canvas and adding plenty of water. I've spent a lot on acrylic paints but I'm now thinking of switching to oils in the hope that they will blend better.
Try adding a slow drying medium to your acrylics 😉
