  • Due to the fact that up until we filmed this, Adrian had never read Of Mice and Men, we decided that was unacceptable. The classic tragedy of George and Lenny, as told by Stripped Cover Lit.

Just got done reading the book and I immediately went on here to see if you both covered this book. I loved your review of the book. I didn't fall in love with this book, but I am very glad I read it and experienced it blind. Also, Adrian, I see what you did there with your notebook. :)

The title being taken from Robert Burns' poem 'To a Mouse' explains a lot about the theme of lost dreams. I loved this novella and I love your review! Thank you!

I worked for a GED program years ago and I would have students read Of Mice and Men & The Old Man and the Sea. The students always had strong reactions to both stories. Often times they would write in their reading logs that they wanted to have a life different from the characters. Failure to realize a dream was often what my students associated with both stories

That book was so amazing! It was on my tbr for so long and, when I saw a review I was like: "Well, about time I got to it." Was this video the first introduction of "Dalton is pretty" sign? I guess so. For that only Dalton deserves a rabbit. Adrian, get Dalton them rabbit'.

I read this in High School, and I can still remember with great clarity just how truly devastating (in a good way) that ending was. In fact I'm pretty near crying just now thinking about it. And surely loneliness is one of the fundamental experiences of life? Great, great book.

This was great! Honestly, I have a pretty short attention span and usually have a hard time making it through long videos, but this was good. You reminded me how much I loved this book. I hadn't thought about it in years. I mean really thought about it, you know?

You guys should review Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins. His writing is interesting and his characters and plot lines are brilliant

next to the premise of loneliness, i'd find the idea of people of being disposable
Also, I'm pretty sure the mouse scratched Lenny, Lenny reacted without thinking, and lied about it afterwards (like a child)

Good thought. Are there any other comments you could share like this? For example, “I oughtta shot that dog myself, George”, effectively causes Lennie’s death, as George remembers this statement from Candy and does not want to make the same mistake. Sorry for the unconciseness, there is an exam in two weeks.
