Having seen him play live back about 5 years ago now , all I can say is “Yes, he attacks his music like his life depends on it to survive”. He always seems to play at 110% or above , and does get killer tones out of whatever amp or set he’s plugged into… He’s the Real Deal for sure . I had asked him after that particular show how he “ Got his Chops” ? So to speak , & he said before Jeff Healey passed away he had played with him on tours quite a bit , and Jeff had played a few times with SRV , so I’m sure the influences from them & many others are being brought forth now through Phillip. Rock on man , and thanks for sharing this one with us mere mortals…😊👍
you sir are half correct, he actually rented both amps at this show from me and it is a '68 super reverb that was rehoused into a head and a 4x10 filled with two old EAW speaker drivers and Two EVM10M speaker drivers.
Just the first chord you know! You're in for a ride, and witnessing one of the top players out there. SRV had the best tone, he may be a step away from matching Stevie and even Jimi. There's only a handful of players that can do this and sing...
Philip Sayce is on Fire as always here, so damn good! My new favorite guitarist out there.
I was at that venue that night. Phil is an insane guitar player. 10/10 would see him multiple times over
Was front row, at the end he slid the whole fretboard across my arm. Amazing experience. Never seen anyone play guitar like Philip.

Wow, I wonder if he turned a Super reverb into a head and cab... That looks like a 4x10, what beautiful tone he has.

Someone convince PS to do Scorched Earth Vol II.
We need a Scorched Earth Vol II.
🙈🙉💓
Spanish castle magic : 5:30 .. At 7:25, Philip always do surprising things with his guitar
If there was a 4-way with Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, Stevie Ray, and Frank Marino... amazing!
