Hey Chris, another great video. Love the rope approach to the wiring loom. Just makes a lot of sense for laying everything out. My thoughts on where to split the loom would be inside and have a left and right side to the engine harness. Should be quite neat into the engine bay. I am sure whatever you do will look fantastic.
Man oh man! I am just a Red Barn/Chris fan; his skills are limitless. He makes this look easy and I know it is not. Thanks for the terrific videos chronicling your build.
Such a great video. Just finished my stand-alone 3.0 EFI Porsche harness. It IS a Zen like experience! I used Speed Hut Canbus gauges in my old LS Miata project. The plugged into the OBD II port! (Exception was fuel gauge.) So simple.
I love the OCD, no wires “Chris cross” no pun intended😂😉 Awesome labels and shrink tubing !!! I have taken one signal wire and run it to two different inputs without a problem, but this is on a supermarket Refrigeration controller. As long as I use the same common. It has always worked out just an FYI . Great job and talent.
@@attheredbarn1669 thanks Chris that wiring looks like an arduous task. I updated my comment because I have taken a signal output to run two different inputs like condenser control and compressor control inputs, but again, on supermarket controllers 0 to 5 V it might be different on automotive.
Are there no CAN connected gauge options? I know with MegaSquirt there are some OEM dash clusters that can be connected via CAN. If you do that then you don't need any duplicate sensors.
The Haltech dash is CAN connect. The issue is if I want to run "regular" Porsche gauges. In that case, for example, I'd need a coolant temp signal to both the ECU (for fan control) and the Porsche gauge.

Hey Michael - Thanks for the nice comments. Hope to see you and Bob sometime soon!
Glad you removed the sheathing, when you're ready to reassemble, use Tesa Tape, way more OE looking and it's fire retardant.
I've not worked with that before - I'll check it out, thanks! The plan has always been to sheath the entire harness in Raychem DR 25.

As always love the tips and methodology.
I admire folks who make wiring look a breeze. I'm useless at it.
Hey early vid this weekend !! Nice !!
Always good stuff!
Loving every week. Keep it going. Thanks
Great to hear, thanks! I will absolutely keep it going.
I can see you are still having fun.
Heck yeah, wiring is fun... for a LOOOOONG time!

Hi Tony! Thanks for the continued words of encouragement. Greatly appreciated.

Great to see this as I will be wiring my 327 soon, and I have VERY LITTLE experience with wiring!
Check out the HPA courses. They are REALLY good.
