I'm old enough to be old school. :) . . . and I agree. I'm from the generation when they referred to the background of the screen with all the application icons as the "desktop." I think this is my mistake in that it is confused with laptop computer versus desktop computer. Thanks for watching the video.
Sounds like the cable isn't plugged in all the way. Sometimes the HDMI or USB plugs have issues on computers from the constant plugging in and unplugging. The computer I'm working on only has one (out of 3) USB port that works.
The same as 2:07. USB ports can be found (almost) anywhere on the outside of a desktop these days and HDMI ports are mostly at the back attached to your graphics card. Same ports, just different places.
Does the wacom one and your laptop's screen display both at the same time normally? When I plug my in, the wacom one screen would say no signal or something. When I did get the wacome on screen to work, my pc screen won't display the screen at the same time as the wacom one. Do you have any advice on this??

@@dreamcairn I accidentally pluck in the HDMI cable, that comes with the table, into my TV. It was meant to be pluck into my PC, not my TV. 😅😅 That's why it didn't display the table's screen and TV's screen at the same time. But I realize that I only have 1 HDMI socket, that was meant for my tv to be display. So, I use '' DP '' socket instead for the table to display the screen. And it works!! You will need an '' DP to hdmi adapter '' so that you can use the HDMI cable , from the table, and pluck it into the '' DP to hdmi adapter '' then pluck it into the DP socket on your PC. That's a bit confusing haahahaha 🤣🤣🤣 After that, make sure you go into your PC setting, and go on '' Multiple displays '' to change it to '' Extended screen '' or something. 😂😂 Hopefully that helps!! 😁😁😁✌
You can use a MAC, but you need standard HDMI and USB ports. If you don't have them, you'll need to get adapters. Search "Connect & download driver with Wacom One and Mac" and look at the one by from Wacom. They show the adapter and setup.
so when i set it with Expand these displays, everything works great, my pen is even calibrated properly, but once i try to draw the pen draws away from where my pen is at, but everything else (like if im clicking buttons or menu stuff for example) still works. i tried to recalibrate the wacom pen in the computer and tablet properties but it still doesnt work right unless i duplicate the screen instead of expanding it. is there a way to fix this? id love to be able to draw on my tablet while doing toher stuff on my laptop screen
I had similar problem if my mouse moves while I'm drawing. Also, might be a problem if you touch your mouse pad. I use a wireless mouse that I move away from my workspace on my desk to avoid this problem.
There are 2 USB plugs for the tablet. One is power the other will control your mouse. Make sure that the cables are connected correctly. If you have 2 free USB ports on your computer, you don't need to use an outlet and can have your computer power the tablet.
@@billieschultz1352 It sounds like your Display is set to 1|2 for two separate displays. Set it to one to mirror on both. Otherwise you can drag applications from your primary display to your Wacom display.
Thank you for pointing out my error in connecting the tablet. Judas Priest! I'm a dolt and a dimwit. No signal. Please, please, please as the gentleman states, the cord goes to the left. Yikes. There's no lightbulb above my head.
If you plug into your HDMI port, you should see your screen duplicated on the XP-Pen display. If that doesn't happen, there may be something wrong with your HDMI port, try plugging it in to another HDMI monitor that you know works. If you do see the screen, but the pen does not respond, try switching USB ports. Most laptops have two or three. Also, if you upgraded to Windows 11, it's still a little buggy, and I've had some problems with some external devices. Hopefully, this will be corrected with patches. If you are using a MAC, go and buy a PC, they're better and easier to trouble shoot.
Why was this more helpful than the official video by Wacom?
It was made for an internal video for our school. Wacom's video is terrific.

Ive been struggling to get it to act more like a pen tablet as opposed to a second monitor that does nothing for hours lol
If I don’t have two hdmi ports can I finalize the setup
You can do it with one HDMI port. The Wacom will replace your current monitor and you'll be able to use the stylus on the Wacom.
I having a issue my Wacom says it gets no signal it does track the pen but the display goes completely black

Can I just use a use to HDMI adapter??? Please I only have 1 HDMI port and that's being used
It sounds like you are using your HDMI port for your monitor. You can use the Wacom as your monitor that ALSO will have tablet capabilities.
Is it possible to use the tablet without having it hooked up to a computer?
Nop
No. The tablet is basically just a fancy touch screen monitor.
Thank you kind sir for your video
You are very welcome Andre.
The stylus is not working on the tablet :/
There are two USB plugs for the tablet. One controls the stylus input and must be plugged into your computer. Try switching the USB plugs.

My computer doesn’t have an hdmi outlet thing, so does that mean I won’t be able to see the screen?
It might have a "micro" USB port, if so, they make adapters that will convert from large to small port.

Some Chromebooks don't have HDMI out or extra USB ports. Depends on the model.
