I used to use a clear acrylic set for my washing as well. The best way to keep them stacked without falling is to use Velcro dots or strips. Don't use any industrial glue like E6000, it will weaken the plastic. It eats away at plastic. I use washi tape sample cards to keep samples of my collection. They are plastic cards (I get the frosted clear ones) I get off Amazon. I then punch a hole at the top and keep them on a large single binder clip. That stays next to me and makes it easy to grab on the go. When I grew out of the acrylic draw sets originally, I started to use the paper towel holders that hook onto the door of kitchen cabinets. I would pick them up at dollar tree. Then hooked them on my wall shelves. It was great because it made my shelves look cute and took up zero real estate in my art area. When I reorganized my room I removed those shelves. So I switched to command strips and dowel rods. Now I can hang both washi tape and ribbons on the wall so that it's all easy to see!
I recently purchased a set of square plastic containers designed to fit 12x12 scrapbooking paper and they fit my washi tapes pretty well. I put drawer/shelf liner on the bottom so the rolls won't slide around as easily. Then I put rubber nibs on the outside bottom so I can stack them without the containers sliding around.
I love this idea. Yes you are right that keeping craft supplies accessible means you are more likely to use them. I am going to order this. Thanks again for your helpful insight.
Good morning, Jennifer and Steve! Thank you! You can E6000 the boxes together so they all stay together. I only have a few Washi tapes. I want more and didn't have something to put them in. I like this case. 😊
I love coloured tape! I'm not sure if I have Washi tape but I think it is! I cut small straps and wrapped it around my cane! It looks cute, and I'll never lose my cane!!😂😊
I use the same drawers for my wash tape. The empty dispenser is brilliant! I'll have to get some Christmas themed Washi to do the same with sealing packages and cards!
Double sided gorilla wide tape holds my desk top in my studio in my ikea alex drawers in wheels. I can pick up the desk by the top so putting a strip between your washi drawer tower will stabilize the tower..just a suggestion…
I Love washi tape as well! Currently I put some in a few totally tiffany 12x12 6 drawer storage & carry case thingy! I say some as some of the washi I have come in such pretty packaging that I want to keep them in it! (you know some of the Japanese packaging is so pretty I don't want to throw away but I can't keep them empty so leave the washi in it) hehe So I have those in bubble mailer bubble wrap pouch (recycled the outer paper envelope) in a sort of duffel bag lol
The two ways I have found to store washi tape are either on this big metal rings (think like 8" diameter. One shop I have bought them from calls them a "book ring with twist lock". Another name is "screw lock binding ring") that sort of look like really oversized binder rings. Or on pieces of ribbon or craft twine that I save from packaging when I order something that comes in fancy packaging. I like to put metal S hooks on the big metal shelves I keep craft supplies on and hang the rings of washi tape from these hooks.
Any kind of paper craft, really. Scrapbooking and card making are big ones. I'm planning a mixed media collage that will feature washi tape and stickers in various areas.
So much washi to love...I store my washi tape by various criteria: size, design, color, type, use. Plain/solid colors - in clear 3 drawer boxes like yours [in my office for Bible journaling]. Dots - in clear divided beads container - in drawer of craft cart [in my craft studio]. Samples - on key/gift cards, in old wallets - in drawer of craft cart [in craft studio]. Glitter - in re-purposed designer sunglass case - in drawer of craft cart [in craft studio]. Skinny rolls - in re-purposed foil dispenser box with serrated edge - for BujO planners [in office on main desk]. Patterns - on re-purposed cellophane tape rolls - in drawers of craft cart [in craft studio]. I divide the long drawers in sections using re-purposed empty paper towel rolls. I cut the rolls in half on the long side. Then I smash them to be a tad flatter, but not totally flat. Then I tape down each edge to the drawer - but one short edge is open about ½” and the other short edge is open about “ or more. This allows for different sizes of rolls in each ‘section’ I use WASHI to tape down the paper towel rolls…
Wow! the empty tape dispenser is a brilliant idea

This is the best washi storage container I have every seen! Thank you for sharing with us!

I agree with that! I have too many supplies I DON’T use because everything is, well, not very organized. 😖

I’m obsessed with Washi tape. I have been needing to find some storage solutions for them.

I store all my washi tape in the same drawers. Works out great. In fact, I had to stop buying because they can pile up fast.
