PPMD Prime vs Leffen right now would be an amazing set. PP's health just seems to be affecting his overall gameplay way too much =/ (see Battle of the 5 Gods)
leffen was always getting punishes out of spot dodges because when m2k would dash dash fishing for a grab leffen would purposely put himself where he knows m2k can grab and then he would just spot dodge the second m2k comes in. pretty smart play by leffen.
LolzSquid that's the beauty of melee. he starts reading your spotdodges, you just punish whatever he decides to counter with. let's say he expects a spotdodge and so he waits, you don't spot dodge and instead waveshine or aerial him. what I meant was it's a good mixup sometimes not all the time
Leffen several times tries to crouch cancel Marth's up B, does anyone know if that even works? I'm pretty sure I've seen Leffen do it on Yoshi's as fox vs M2k before, but never on any other stage.
man where are scar and toph when you need em'. The problem with this League of Legends type E-Sports sound like they're reporting the weather or news whereas the good commentators are more like talk show hosts
why do so many of you need to support one specific smasher? of course fandom is part of every competetive scene (actually nearly every spectating social structure develops the habit of supporting a specific team or individual) but should not our focus lie more one the beauty of melee? i think it's beauty stems from it's fast and very technical play. so in order to catch melees beauty it's technicality should be the main focus. Of course individual performance plays an essential role (for example inventing new strategies, techniques etc.), but focusing too much on the individual performances by overemphazising the fanboy aspect could misalign the focus away from it's technical beauty
i wanna see ppmd vs leffen now a days i feel like that would be such an intense set

Chiplinked yeah ive seen all their matches just now i think its going to be good
The voice of the commentator on the left does not fit his body at all.
Lmao yea
Hovering Zero I expected like a hardcore metal voice

he got a few stocks solely off spot dodge shine, gotta implement that more into my play
bad idea. you'll get read for spotdodging.

Uchiha Madara its a bad mixup, its only good if its a correct read on when they're gonna grab.

Miles Edgeworth Yes it does work, but you can't punish if they sweetspot.
It's kinda sad that m2k was the closest to beating leffen in this tournament and he didn't even practice for the damn game at all
I'd also consider how sloppily Leffen played in this set. Especially game 3.
They both were playing like crap, all the flubs were cringy lol
+Moe Ali everybody played bad this tourney
I wish Leffen played this badly in grand finals.
+beatlesrockbandchris leffen played amazing this tourney, are you nuts ?

Let's be real we all wanted Mew2King to win
Ik I'm 5 years late but hell naw
M2k's hairline is lit af
"It's so tight"
Oh my heart on that third game
the whole set was great, but there were some essential faults from m2k. I don't know him like that, but who cares. Everyone does some faults sometimes
Oh m2k that last games was all yours BibleThump
14:29 Find LOF False
Mew2King was so close.
Does it seem like the commentary was biased heavily towards Leffen to anyone else?
Not necessarily. I think they were just happy leffen is back. But all in all I think it was not bias
not bias but narrated through the lens of leffen most of the time. that's what people dislike more than a person getting cheered for more than another

why is trillium commentating
Leffen should be a god tbh
Yay Leffen
literally the slopiest set I've seen either of them play
until summit 3
They both played like garbage. I wish m2k won this match because it would have been funny since he mainly practiced for smash 4
