Personally i think this release more like remake for gvk kong rather than actual gxk (with extra frosbite hand) and then they will release the actual gxk with beast glove and silver tooth later and the rumors say they will include another headsculpt which the sculptor said should be release on this ver but got licensing issues
I like that kong doesn't have all the gxk stuff like the glove and tooth. I rather just have a normal kong without any changes (basically a gvk) and I'll rather wait for a beast glove figure that comes with a kong that has the beast glove and silver tooth. I hope they just use the same paint and stuff so if i want the silver tooth on a kong without the beast glove i can just switch the heads
I also thought about scar having the beast glove and tooth as a accessory but to me I don't like that bc u need more heads for the tooth just to showcase the expression he has instead of 1 head with the silver tooth and the other don't. Knowing scar king will have his own accessories with different heads, hands and the whip. In my opinion I think I rather buy another kong figure than buying a different figure just to have a arm or head
This could be the last Monsterverse Hiya Kong figure with the "natural" look and all his teeth 🤭 Maybe for now on all the upcoming figures will have the artificial upgrades so keep that in mind. As i didn't have any kong figure, i decided to get this one. Great sculpt and the glowing/translucent axe is a nice addition. Also this Monke pairs really well with the 2021 Hiya Godzilla. For anyone who already had a previous kong, my advise is to wait and get the beast glove update (It will be as good or even better than this release and you would have two different figures representing the evolution of the character).
"Would you rather have 2 different Kongs or have Have it an accessory you have to buy for another figure?" I don't even know why is this even a question. Who tf wants to be paywalled?
I kinda implied that since their Skar king was gonna be cooked anyway then why be forced to buy two Kongs. but I agree that pay walling an accessory is scummy and it would've been better if he just cost 10$ more and came with an extra arm.
@@growlie2676I decided to get this one. I have a gvk Godzilla and this ape will look amazing with him. Also for now on and in the future movies Kong will always have his beast glove and the new tooth so this could be the last "natural looking Kong" Hiya figure. The sculpt will be the same on both versions and i guess the differences will be the axe and the glove, a few paint variations, and of course the tooth. You could wait and see how the next Kong looks and make a decision afterwards...but both versions are a win for sure, so there is not a bad choice here 😁

At least that is my situation...I have one godzilla (2021 updated), and Shimo and Evolved preordered (another Godzilla yes, but this one feels like another character 😂) So i was debating too about which Kong to get, and i'm picking this one because pairs great with the 2021 Goji, and then Evolved will be with Shimo. Perfectly balance (in my head at least).
