This miracle is also a parable. It teaches that spirituality blindness (or any spirituality ailment) does not often disappear in one go. It is a process. It required repeated contact with Jesus. We need his touch over and over again.

Enjoy this lesson. But the confusing issue of self-denial, it seems as if dressing up for church is not in harmony with His will, but just a show, a playing of church. At conversion, it appears as if any material thing except a shirt on one’s back was too much. But church teaches to dress up as if you’re going to see the President. Jesus’s disciples wore the same old garment. To go through the path of the cross, it seemed like one is to give up all for His missionary work.

When it comes to dressing up in church it’s a question of respect for God and his house. Should you rather say I’m not dressing up for church because I want to be comfortable. Or I’m going to dress my best for the Lord out of respect for him.
It’s not a rule to dress for church but the Bible does direct us in how we should dress. Self denial is to say lord I’m dressing my best for you because of the love you have for me. It has nothing to do with “playing church” remember your relationship with God is yours alone. People have just turned it’s into drama notice that everyone dose something different in church because that’s what THEY like and not but what is written.

In the late and early '90s, the teaching of self-esteem was pushed hard. It was given a Christian spin and was widely accepted by the Christian Church although it was an in your face deception. Directly opposite to the teachings of the Lowly Nazarene.
It lifted up Satan's philosophy: I will exalt my throne. I will be the greatest. Do you know who I am?
Jesus' disciples, like the rest of the human family inherited that philosophy as a part of their DNA and up until Jesus' crucifixion were actively striving for the supremacy. Cain killed Able because of this spirit.
Jesus taught His disciples the truth about humanity on this point. He taught us to esteem others better than self. The servant role is exalted above the seek to be served role. Seek the place of service rather than the place of honor. Have genuinely a spirit of humility. Do not assume the posture of humility while at the same time exalting yourself. This is hypocrisy. This is play acting. Jesus teaches against this.
It is also true that we should understand our true value in Christ, in the sight of God. We are to always lift Him up, not lift up self for any good in us comes from Him. We are to point others to look unto Him and be saved.
