What a surprise to see the remnants of a Royal Marines DUKW there. The Corps still use them at RM INSTOW for Landing Craft Training as safety boats. They now refurbish them in house.
I can see swap potential for those Perkins V8 engines into something like a 40s Ford COE .. would need a stout allison tranmission to go with them though
I can't get over the rows of tithonus land rovers that are being sold. The M.o.D spent millions upgrading and rebuilding these land rovers to extend their life, and now they are selling them all, and I bet they sell for less than the cost of refurbishing them?
Kudos for the video content! Apologies for the intrusion, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you heard about - Tarbbatigan Vintage Sales Tip (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for finding government and police auctions for cars trucks and SUVs minus the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my GF at very last got excellent success with it.
Kudos for the Video! Excuse me for butting in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you researched - Tarbbatigan Vintage Sales Tip (do a google search)? It is a good one off guide for finding government and police auctions for cars trucks and SUVs without the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my mate at very last got cool success with it.
Agreed Bonnie... However all of the vehicles etc in the video were for sale in the auction.. and most will find new homes and uses. Generally, at these auctions, what does not sell goes to the scrap yard for recycling. Paul 😎👍
I agree with Bonnie, what are you supposed to do with a completely gutted helicopter? The only thing to do with a completely gutted helicopter is to melt it down and build something else. The government will make more money by selling junk to idiots than to recycle.
With ships and navy and cars army machines and wapen and gans and another wapen killers makes wall concerete AROUND world and top wall air plane without wings
what actually happens most of this lot the trucks diggers forklifts landrovers etc i can see why but a tank a helicopter to other governmental organisations yes but the public nah
Hi... Surprisingly many of the tanks are purchased by collectors... I have several acquaintances who have bought Tanks from these auctions. I believe the helicopters ere eventually sold for scrap. Some of the heavy armour ... if not sold after a couple of auctions are scrapped.... even brand new ex-reserve vehicles. here is my "Tank" an Alvis Sabre which came from one of these auctions... ua-cam.com/video/ZWJUCdHUhYk/v-deo.html
@@PaulDonovan ok so your total compromises of 1 seaking 1bedford mj cargo 4x4 w/ crane truck 1 crewcab landrover 1 small CET and 1 scamell heavy recovery truck this comes to 1 milllion pounds
@@alfiewhittaker3763 ... not quite sure what you are saying.... but these items go for next to nothing. The CETs, some of which are brand new and cost (new) around £1 million each sell for £7,500 !!
_OP_Designs Official some of the smaller tanks can go for around 10k or even less but the bigger tanks would go for upwards of 15k unless they have large problems.

What a waste of money! Why doesn't the government recycle instead of leaving millions of pounds to sit and rot!...Thanks for uploading.
