it was planned even before the series started, cannonbolt was originally one of the first 10 but then they came up with the idea of one of the aliens escaping the watch and becoming a villain, so they came up with ghostfreak and switched out cannonbolt
I love how special Ghostfreak is. Like, he’s the only one of the Original 10 that actually looks like a monster, he’s the first one (and only one until UAF) that can phase/go invisible (still is the only one that can go completely invisible, rather than partial or camouflaging), he’s freaky and awesome. And what makes the pseudo-dual-personality thing even more interesting? He seems to vacillate between two modes. 1) Cruel, aggressive, and with an almost sadistic enjoyment of toying with people using his…ahem…’darker’ powers. His possession, mostly. Also goes totally overkill in fights, or just does something totally unnecessary like showing off his tendrils just to freak someone the hell out. This came from Zs’Skayr. 2) Really freaked out by the other mode, more reasonable and heroic. He doesn’t use his possession all that much, mostly using his phasing, flight, invisibility, and claws/tendrils. This came from Ben. What’s great is that pretty much everyone, both in-universe and out-of-universe, is creeped out by Ghostfreak. Hell, *Ghostfreak* is creeped out by Ghostfreak. It’s so interesting to see how Zs’Skayr being trapped in the Omnitrix, and Ghostfreak not quite feeling like himself the way the others do, affects Ben mentally. Because it makes sense! Of course he’d be scared shitless of this guy! He’s literally ten years old and is essentially being haunted by what is essentially an evil ghost who wants to take over his body and can semi-affect him even when he’s not possessed. I mean, by like fifteen or sixteen he’s less scared of him, but that introduction…Zs’Skayr is terrible at several things, but being a terrifying bastard isn’t one of them. And honestly, Zs’Skayr won a pretty major victory against Ben in that regard. By forcing Ben to associate turning into Ghostfreak with feeling possessed and not in control of his own actions, he effectively mentally blocked Ben from turning into his (arguably) most powerful phasing transformation (NOT most well-rounded, just most powerful) for like six years, save like two occasions, and even then, he turned back basically as soon as he could. The only other individual that managed to screw Ben up mentally to that degree (and beyond, I’d say) was Malware, and that’s for a totally different reason. Fuck that guy. Fuck them both, actually. He can’t survive ultraviolet radiation without his protective second skin. So how does being in space not just not kill him, but actually make him stronger?! I’M OVERTHINKING THIS! I’M SORRY!
the part about telekinesis being used only once can be attributed to forgetfulness and the fact that there were different showrunners and creators that worked on each series of ben 10. the original was created by Man of action, then it got tossed to Dwayne Mcduffie for Alien force and ultimate alien, who hadn't seen the original series and only knew bits and pieces... before he was forced to add classic characters in alien force Season 3. Ghostfreak is quite probably the alien with the most personality of all the aliens in the Omnitrix, mostly because he's ultimately revealed to be an actual character apart from Ben. It would've been cool to see in Omniverse Ben using Ghostfreak to fight against Zs'Skayr. I can already imagine the exchanges of lines between them about the fact that Zs'Skayr was once Ghostfreak himself and that now he is fighting his replacement.

@@loonflam8910 That is actually kind of what happened in the series. Ghostfreak's DNA was scanned while he was possessing one of Wildvine's species, so he actually was collected by mistake
You know, Ghostfreak's density shifting is why he was my favorite alien from the OG series because he could dodge any attack.
Except the crabulon hentai slime attack.
@@martinmarkov9707ayo😳
Imagine youre the last member of an ancient alien ghost species, and your DNA goes to a powerful transformation tool used to replicate your abilities regularly and some 10 year old nick names your transformation "Ghostfreak".
he actually brings this up in the show, he was greatly offended being called that
I love that Ghostfreak's eye is purple, but every other alien has green eyes.
Not every alien’s eyes are green. Cannonbolt and Four Arms have yellow eyes for instance.
@@thatoneguy5343heatblast have no green eyes
Diamondhead too
1:02
The way gwen change expression so quickly
I love how the old Ghostfreak's design skin was so.... wrinkly make him look so creepy and specially cool when he morphed around since any wrinkle could serve to become part of the full body.
Ghostfreak: "your going down clown."
ghostfreak I think is ben’s strongest alien in the original series. He can scare people to near death, dodge punches, and possess people, which can be useful if he possesses a strong enemy and makes them kill themselves, and exits their body at the last moment.
No waybig is his strongest
Yep
@@ijionclifton9148 even way big cant harm ghostfreak
@@ijionclifton9148 They're talking about the original 10. Who do you think is the strongest in the original 10 then?
@@Unforgiving_Eye
My money bet is on Four Arms Diamondhead Wildmutt and Heatblast as the strongest of the 10 original classic aliens of Ben 10 OS.
4:00 this scene made ghostfreak my favorite alien in my childhood
You finally did the greatest quotes of Ghostfreak without Zs'Skayr. Please do the greatest quotes of Blitzwolfer, Snare-oh, and Whampire.
Poor freinkinstrike Lol
@@ilyassebenana3824 He already did the greatest quotes for Frankenstrike. Check his channel.
@@jediclonekag13 "Frankenstrike vs an army of zombie clowns ok why not
Well actually, Zs'Skayr speaks at 3:28.
He says "You don't know who you are messing with.", that was canonically the first time that ben was ever taken over by him because right after that fight, Ben says something like "That was weird."
Polteo.
Genuinely wish the show had kept the Ghostfreak form. It was one of my all time favorite aliens!
3:40 "Now you see me, now i'm Gwen"
Lol
3:52 Ghostfreak: Yes, sometimes I love this watch.
OG Ghostfreak: Dangerous, weird, and truly scary
Omniverse Ghostfreak: "sToP hItTiNg YoUrSeLf"
True, Omniverse Ghostfreak is most likely because Ben is in full control.
The reason is, that Ghostfreak in OG, sometimes Ben talks, but sometimes, Za' Skayr controls Ben. But in Omniverse, Ben got complete control over Ghostfreak so he just shows his playful behaviour.
Ghostfreak was actually my favorite alien in the original series. Was a bit of a double edged sword whenever he became a villain. Was super cool but ultimately meant we didn’t get to see them as much.
I’m sad that Ghostfreak himself turned out to be evil. I actually thought out of all the aliens he was my favorite.
It was obvious tbh. There's a lot of time when Ben doesn't feel like himself whenever he uses Ghostfreak.
4:09 ghost freak be like: you want my scaring qualifications? here you go * does that thing * ya like it?"
The "looooser" with the seashell always sends me 😂😂
4:12 my favorite ghostfreak line
The OG Ghostfreak is an absolute menace.
When it comes to horror games, ghostfreak would fit pretty well
🎵Five Nights at Ghostfreaaaaaak's!🎵
"No way! Ninja old people"
Scares the scary clown.
Scary clown pops. "Whoa that even freaked me out" is probably my fav ghost freak scene
Man some of these scenes hit different after you know what Ghostfreak is. Such a creepy villain with some long foreshadowing that creeped me the hell out as a kid and still does to this day. That's some damn good writing if you ask me.
Ghostfreak was really dark and freak. Fav alien
its ashame ghostfreak was taken out of os so soon but the z'skarr villain arc was soooo good
Honestly ghost freak was very well made loved how different he was from other aliens
I love it when he talks as ghost freak 😁😊
I love the the sound of ghostfreak's voice with the way Ben talks. Like these childish quips with that raspy voice, it's great.
1:02 'Loser' always make me rofl 😂
When I was a kid this was my favourite, whenever he came out he always seemed like more of a threat than whoever he was fighting
Now that I think about it, ghostfreaks character design is actually pretty solid, pretty neat character!
Now I wonder why I never really liked him as a kid?
Ghostfreak is quite probably the alien with the most personality of all the aliens in the Omnitrix, mostly because he's ultimately revealed to be an actual character apart from Ben. It would've been cool to see in Omniverse Ben using Ghostfreak to fight against Zs'Skayr. I can already imagine the exchanges of lines between them about the fact that Zs'Skayr was once Ghostfreak himself and that now he is fighting his replacement.
"you put the hug in ugly"
- ben 10
So exquisite🤩. I think I'm falling in love with that character.😍
4:20 *FATALITY!*
Ghostfreak wins
Flawless victory!
Original Gwen is such a beautiful written character
Classic ghostfreak was the best
This alien Always freaked me the hell out
something about the Classic one retaining his purple eyes always gave me the idea that Hes not completely Controlled by Ben
0:13 - 0:58 I remember seeing Ghostfreak and the Aliens live in concert. Classic. Glad someone else remembers as well.
I remember cannonbolt was my favorite as a kid but having grown, ghostfreak and just the way Ben acted as him is so cool. He’s my new favorite alien. I think the zombozo part in the original series may be my favorite part of the series.
“The ultimate sneak peak for the Ghost with the most Freak” good beetle juice reference there.
I love whenever ghostfreak does the Beetlejuice act. The circus was never my favorite episode of all time, but it was up there.
Ben 10 classic is the every reason why i didnt bother watching the laters
I remember having a crush on Ghostfreak as a kid....No regrets!
Uhhh...
Girls Never Fail To Be Weird
Wow, really?
@@thanhmultiverse3530 yeah I remember saying his voice was nice and things took off from there
Funny enough, I had a crush on another character Steve Blum(the voice of ghostfreak) voiced...
It was the green goblin from TSSM.
Ben was inside Gwen for a brief moment there
Ghostfreak always scared me as a kid. Even when Ben transformed into him and say silly shit it still gave me chills.
1:54 the way ghostfreaks eye moves here is hilarious
Hinting sights of foreshadowing Ghostfreak's evil reveal identity as Zs'Skayr in season 2 11th episode "Ghostfreaked Out"
GhostFreak was just Obito/LeMillion in the Ben10 universe
This is my favorite alien. Imagine being able to fly, be invisible and intangible. Damnnn
Ghostfreak was my favorite of the original 10
This video's background music and style of editing gives me a strong nostalgia feeling
I am so glad they Brought Ghostfreak back in Omniverse, he was one of my favs not that Zs'Skayr and his story wasn't amazing but I just wish they did they brought Ghostfreak back separately frim Zs'Skayr earlier than in cannon
You gotta do Albeado next
İ think the chains and cuffs on him in omniverse represents that ben finally had ghostfreak under control
Ghostfreak was Ben's Bully Maguire arc.
I absolutely love characters like ghostfreak and Nightmarionne the eldritch horror contained in a simple form with tantacles that can rip you to shreds is such an amazing design philosophy
The best way of conquering your fear: Turn into the incarnation of fear itself.
Still awesome!
Ghostfreak is pretty OP now that I look at it in retrospect, stronger than all the other aliens. Makes sense since he's an eldritch entity (and king) trapped in the watch.
peope cried when ghost freak was gone but they brought him back in a new form which brought me back when i was younger every one was super happy with one of the most interesting aliens
4:13 Ghostfreak: Oh, now don’t tell me you’re afraid of old Ghostfreak.
The original ghost freak wasn’t even the same entity as Ben, he just was in the watch and was a genuine villain.
My favorite not so hero like monster. He's not like alien x broken or anything, but he's still the right amount of broken. Absolutely love em.
Bro ghost freak is the goat
The music fits ghostfreak really well 👍💯😎
Monster by Lady Gaga would be a fitting song with this songs line verse:
"That boy is a monster, m-m-m-monster" when Ben is going to transform into Ghostfreak.
@@MarcoSuperNova2784 oh okay I'll give that song a listen
Fun fact, azmuth never added ghostfreak to the omnitrix
His assistant extract it lol
❤ all your video's mate 👍.
Thanks to this series, i never got tromatized by any horror movie since my very young age, becuz i told my self that beeing the "scary monster" of the story was cool.
dude i love ghost freak he was one of my fav aliens growing up
Ghost freak are just too op in the classic they have to put him out of the omnitrix
"looser, looser" that was funny!
This is why...Ghostfreak is one of my favorite aliens.
"You don't have to get snotty about it, Ms. Know-It-All."
Ghostfreak.
whenever ben turns into ghostfreak I've always wondered how much of it was him and how much of Zs'Skayr influencing him
Funniest thing is he according to lore has trouble dealing with his nieces😂😂😂
Ghostfreak has Nieces?
I remember being like 8 and getting scared to life whenever ben became or encountered this thing
Hands down, my favorite alien of all time. No question.
In hindsight, the Crab guy having a hard counter locked and loaded was quite impressive.
My personal favorite alien from the watch and THE MOST Lovecratian.
Ya know, now that I’m thinking about it, the concept of Ben 10 is honestly really cool.
@Sluglife donb I think I genuinely forgot that after a while. Like an ex-Christian being desensitized to Jesus.
Bruh Ben 10 was the shit back in the day. My grown ass can still watch it
