A superb all rounder. Decent speed for his bulk, ranged attacks, virtually indestructible, and that's not even reaching intermediary levels with the terrain control and the ability to make constructs for any situation.

There was probably a reason like time or budget, but it also could've been that in terms of gameplay; they couldn't justify having multiple aliens that would've overall played near identical so they picked the favorites of each niche. Doesn't make it any less disappointing, but at least you have a reason that makes sense.
This is partially because Diamondhead was one his best generalist aliens, good at range, good at melee, no significantly exploitable weaknesses. Just a good all-rounder.
Heatblast was weak to being "put out" so to speak, Wildmutt couldn't see, Stinkfly was weak at melee and could be prevented from flying by having his wings be damaged or made wet, Upgrade relied the most on the environment to be effective out of all of his characters, Gray Matter had to rely on ingenuity and couldn't take ANYTHING on in a direct fight. Ripjaws relied heavily on water to be effective, XLR8 is incredibly fast but ultimately wasn't very strong, or good at range, he relied on speed as both his offensive and defensive power. Fourarms was actually also pretty good but weaker defensively and at range since he had to utilize his environment to protect himself or attack at range, I.e. throwing cars or peeling off parts of the road to protect himself whereas diamondhead could attack at range and protect himself utilizing crystals he could generate and fire from his own body.
Diamondhead is defs one of my favorites out of all of Ben's aliens. He looks cool, he sounds cool, and his powers r awesome. Who says diamonds r only a girl's best friend?
Diamonhead was always my favourite. I didn't watch much of Ultimate Alien (or maybe later seasons of Alien Force) because I do not remember him in those series, but I definitely do like the blue jumpsuit thing he's got going on. Best crystal boi, way better than Chromastone imo.
Diamondhead is my favorite alien. Loved his return in AF. But I wish he didn’t have Chromastone’s rock body covering him. Maybe in his initial debut, but the next transformation should have been back to a suit. Maybe it would have been better if it wasn’t also covering his head.

@@jaski4022 i wouldn't say they were lazy. just under bunch of stress and pressure due to cartoon Network breathing down their necks and forcing them to make the series like the classic, DESPITE no one in the group working on alien force having worked on the classic series and only knowing a little bit about it. they were also forced to make many changes, and they were struggling to stick things to the wall cause they weren't allowed to work as they wanted and many things they wanted got vetoed by the network in season 3, they had almost no breathing to do anything creative or imaginative at that point.

I always considered Diamondhead to be OG Ben's main alien, even though four-arms was his favourite.
