- Uninstalling a TV or dismounting is something I get asked about often. Watch this video as I show how to take any TV off of any mount and repair the wall back to original condition. In one breath I would like my 75" living room telly on the wall. However, I often worry about when I need to upgrade the telly. Will a new mount be needed, will more cables need to be ran, etcetera.

Wow thank you for this. It came at the perfect time. Question, what do you do when your mount actually damaged the wall because the drill was too strong upon install? Now a huge piece of drywall is cracked. Thank you!
You can cut out the bad areas and fill in with this video. If it's a large broken piece that when you push on it has no chance of remaining, then you'll have to replace

What kind of tool did you latch onto the power drill? Can I use a power drill to take down the mount while TV is still attached? I'm about to order some drill bits soon!
Might sound like a dumb question but we recently moved into our first home and the previous owner had their TV mounted. They took everything apart and left holes where they mounted it. We would like to mount our own TV on the same place they had theirs. Would patching and drilling new holes affect the studs at all if we mounted it directly where they previously had theirs?

If you repainting the spots with the same color would you just spot paint with a brush or like long strokes with a roller?

What is the best way to match the paint color and ensure that it blends with the rest of the wall?
Paint the whole wall over. But if it's huge you do it like any other blend, carefully. Let the roller thin out into the old paint. I'm not a painting expert though.

Can I use existing holes drilled into the stud to mount a different mount? Or will it not be as strong. Thanks!
you can reuse holes as long as the bolts are same size. always hand tighten and test the mount with some body weight just to make sure it's all secure.
How you remove a tv from mount?
I'm surprised you didn't use something like Kilz with all the different paints before adding the new paint. Hope it lasts.
That is pretty thick primer/paint. Looks pretty good compared to before. Sometimes I'll scratch up the walls a bit if needed.

The entire house was that ugly color and multiple sheens and poor drywall repair. That's what happens when people rent their homes out. No one cares about them anymore.

Na.. the Vizio oled to a new wall. The cx will be replaced with a G1 or A90J. We shall see.
